Gladiator Cards Can Make A Big Difference

For those of you who haven't decided to check out the Guild play in Splinterlands, I strongly urge you to do so. Because that's the only way to have Gladiator cards in your collection. All Gladiator cards come with the Bloodlust ability which can pack a punch especially in regular play. Here's one battle where it worked well.

In this battle, the ruleset allows for us to include a Gladiator card. If you don't have one, it can be a bit of a disadvantage given their power.

1st position - Kralus - High health to last a long and potentially bruising battle especially with the Cripple ability in effect.
2nd position - Silvershield Assasin - Poison ability to take out the back line and also do extra damage per round in general.
3rd position - Captain Katie - Bloodlust and Snipe to hopefully take out an unsuspecting opponent.
4th position - Bila the Radiant - Life leech might be useful if my opponent is not using the void ability.
5th position - Halfing Alchemist - In case my opponent uses a powerful tank, this might be able to help blunt some damage.
6th position - Venari Marksrat - Some healing and also to take advantage of the summoner boost to range attacks

The battle went well but more importantly, Captain Katie managed to kill two opponent units. That brought her speed to 4 and attack to 5. Ultimately, the battle was won easily and you can catch a replay of the battle here: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_b869d8d17060259862a200b5ed1599e1&ref=charcoalbuffet

Captain Katie Examined

Captain Katie starts off pretty powerful already but at level 4 or 25 combined cards, is where her power really shines. That brings her speed up to a decent 3 and a powerful 4 magic attack. As a rare card, it is particularly powerful when legendary cards and epic cards are not allowed.

The Gladiator Collection

Like i mentioned earlier, you can't buy Gladiator cards at the store unless you're in a guild. So you will be missing out on all these great cards like Quora or Katrelba Gobson that can be really effective in battles.

Guild battles don't require too much commitment if you're worried about the extra time to play the game and I highly encourage everyone to check it out.

The captain Katie being able to attain some great bloodlust was crucial to this win I must say. Took out some cards that could have caused some potential damage. Really great win

Thanks! It definitely takes some luck to get the bloodlust going but what I like about her is the Snipe ability as well which can usually bypass the tanks.
