My First Brawl Ends In Disaster

I recently joined a guild after playing Splinterlands for so long. I was afraid of the time commitment but with some more time on my hands recently, it was time to step up.

The Results

I ended up with 1 win and 4 losses. Silver rules might be a bit too challenging for my deck with only level 3 summoners. Also, not having any Gladius cards puts me at a disadvantage as from what I've seen, Gladius cards are stronger than the typical Alpha/Beta/Orb/Chaos Legion card.

Investments need to be made

Well, it's clear that if I'm to have any success, I either need to play in Bronze or upgrade my deck. One thing that I wanted to buy was Gladius cases but you can't buy them within 7 days of joining a guild.

Three more days and I can buy a couple cases. Hopefully there will be useful cards in there for the next brawl.

I was looking at buying some cards and leveling them up but maybe a cheaper option would be to rent them for a couple of days when the brawl is happening. Tyrus Paladium is on sale though and looks like an attractive option to upgrade now. I'd need about 6 to make it to level 4 though.

Sort:

Don't worry about the loss. I started playing the guild like four months ago and it's been a splendid experience. You'll be able to build more Gladius packs to compete and you'll balance with time. The brawl is also very rewarding especially if you have a good guild.

Yes, it seems like guilds are a good way to grow the account once they've plateaued in the traditional ranked battles. Doesn't look too time consuming as I feared unless you're the guild owner.
