Hello Friends,

Good day to all, I am sure the Waka Spiritblade summoner announcement has made all busy to collect the SPS and Vouchers and someone like me who is in dilemma whether to collect the SPS and Vouchers or just invest the SPS to buy more Chaos Legion packs!!!
And, I have selected the Second option to buy 100 more packs and leveled up most of the monsters I have and even a summoner as well.
In the middle of all these things, there is another SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge and the monster featured this week is the Chaos Legion edition Water Splinter monster of Deeplurker and I have to say it's one of the favorites for me because of it's opportunity ability which can even poison the monsters it attacks.

Look at the monstrous Deeplurker!!! He will be the most used monsters from Water splinter because of the opportunity ability and it's fast and can even poison the monster.
It's being used by me whenever there is enough MANA to accommodate it in my lineups.

Stats:

The monsters starts with 3 melee attack and is one of the fearsome monsters from Chaos Legion edition.
It can go up to 5 melee attack in it's 10 levels and in the era of more inspire ability monsters, the melee attack can be even more and it will be more destructive!!!
As for as it's speed is concerned, starts at 2, but can go up to 4.
No armors but, health is good enough for this 6 MANA cost monster with starting health of 6 and can increase by 1 to be a max of 7.
It brings out the opportunity ability from level 1 and gets poison at 6 and finally, finishes it off with demoralize at level 10 and a maxed out monster can be a rank above the other magic monsters we have from Water splinter.

Battle and Lineup:

The battle I fought had 42 MANA cap to accommodate some of the high MANA cost monsters and it had 2 rule sets, reverse speed (monsters with slowest speed to attack First) and lost legendaries (no legendary monsters allowed in the battle) and based on these rule sets and the huge MANA cap we had for this battle, I used a lineup as below:

Lineup:

1. Torhilo The Frozen:

Since the lost legendaries was on, I could field The Kraken or Lord Arianthus and went ahead with this void ability monster which even has last standing ability, but that will be not useful in this battle.

2. Gelatinous Cube:

Nowadays, there are more blast ability monsters and I felt, Gelatinous Cube can be a good one for such scenarios and even it can double up as backup front monster as well.

3. Deeplurker:

The theme monster of the week is the best in this lineup to take out those low health monsters one by one as he attacks.

4. Captain's Ghost:

First of the only 2 magic monsters I used inspite of selecting Water splinter and this will be a nice one to have with oppress and affliction abilities it has.

5. Medusa:

The monster with stun ability is well suited for reverse speed battles because of low speed and was a good contributor in this win.

6. Cyclops:

Lastly, I used another stun ability monster in Cyclops and it can be even good against any sneak attack as it has shield ability.

Opponent used Death Splinter's latest summoner of Thaddius Brood and his monsters were, Cursed Windeku, Sand Worm, Venari Spellsmith, Magi of Chaos, Dhampir Stalker and Gelatinous Cube.

Battle:

Round 1:

Opponent lost 2 good monsters even before he could attack to remove a monster from my linup.
First to go was the front monster from opponent's side Cursed Windeku and soon it was followed by Cursed Windeku taken out by the opportunistic Deeplurker.

Round 2:

Two more monsters from the opponent's lineup have to bow out against the superior magic and ranged attack monsters from my lineup and even Deeplurker hopped in.
Sand Worm didn't have much work to do in this battle as it couldn't attack in First round and bowed out before it could attack in this round.
It was followed by Magi of Chaos to ensure I was victorious even before other 2 monsters got removed because of the fact that, opponent's new front monster Dhampir Stalker couldn't attack from front being a ranged attack monster and the monster to follow that was Gelatinous Cube!!!!

Round 3 and 4:

While Dhampir Stalker got removed by poison and self healing Gelatinous Cube survived a round, but couldn't go beyond another round and the battle got winded up in round 4.

Questions and Answers:

Did my strategy work? What will I try differently next time?

I think the lost legendaries rule set gave me an opportunity to use some of the monsters I use very less, like Cyclops and it was a good battle considering opponent had some high profile monsters, but being faster was the drawback for those as this was reverse speed battle.
The strategy worked well for me as I didn't lose a single monster and Deeplurker played it's part in this win.

Do I like the DEEPLURKER? Why or why not?

I do like it a lot as I mentioned because of the awesome abilities it has. I would be very much on course to max it out in the next coming days with plan of buying more packs soon.

I couldn't believe that the battle will be completed so fast, but, that was the fact with the likes of Deeplurker, Cyclops and Captain's Ghost making it faster.
Happy to be writing a blog after almost a week and nice to be back with a blog related to Splinterlands.

Thanks and Have a good day :)
