RE: Conclave Arcana Conflict Suggestion - because MATH!

in #splinterlands4 months ago (edited)

Thanks for the tag, I think the biggest issue with your solution (which is creative) is that there's only 1 or 2 total BFs available by the odds. For instance if there are 4000 cards (which there was for the first rebellion set - and this one might be lower because there are less legends printed), then that would mean the odds are only 1 without potions and 2 with all potions available.

There's no way to guarantee enough cards to make the players decide to choose that route.

I like the effort Captain, but the issue is these legendary cards aren't going to be easy to get for anyone. I definitely like the mechanic of choice, I just don't think it applies here in this situation because of the very limited nature of the distribution.

I always appreciate your feedback - with my limited data, I can only make suggestions of varying degrees of usefulness :)

I love the effort you put into finding solutions Captain! Thank you for putting your mind to this and many other topics to make the game and ecosystem better and stronger!

My pleasure Dave

I believe any energy and effort put into improving something, even if it doesn't pan out... can never be "wasted energy" :)

But @davemccoy, why not create 10 BF cards from each conflict and distribute them based on odds/contribution (use prize pool mechanisms like in presale)? I am thinking just like what was done with BF Gramel. Just imagine the FOMO, the momentum, the chase—it could be huge. This could operate as a separate system outside the CP requirement.

@yabapmatt - It would be a missed opportunity not to have BF versions of the legendary summoner cards.

That would be more than all the other ones, plus there could (should) be more minted. As I said above, the odds are there will be 1 or 2 depending on RNG and the number of potions used.
