Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for almost two years, so new players can only get them in the market. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.
Last week's prize was this Exploding Dwarf card.
Now that the post has reached the end of the seven day point of payout it's time to spin the wheel of names and find out who the lucky winner is...

This Week's Giveaway
And now, without further ado, I am pleased to announce that the card for this week's Blast From The Past Giveaway is an Undead Minotaur card.
Even though this card was burned very frequently when it was first released, it has gained considerably in popularity since the addition of Rulesets such as Super Sneak and Melee Mayhem have added the ability to use it's Double Strike attack while hidden safely in the middle of the second row. Currently the cheapest Level 1 Undead Minotaur card is $1.39 on the Splinterlands market. That means it is worth many times the 15 DEC you would get from burning the card. So don't even think about sending this card to the burn tanks!
If you are just starting out and haven't been able to add an Undead Minotaur to your deck or just need another one to level up, then you should get in on this giveaway. The Undead Minotaur card will be sent to one lucky winner when this contest closes at post payout time.
If this Undead Minotaur card doesn't fit into your master plan for Splinterlands domination, or if you lack the skill to achieve victory with it, you can always rent it to someone else or try to sell it in the market.

For a chance to add this Undead Minotaur to your Splinterlands deck, just leave a comment. Be sure to add your Splinterlands account name if it's different than your entry name. Only 1 entry per person. The contest will end at the 7 day point of payout for this post, when I will use WHEEL OF NAMES to choose the winner.

Okay so here's what's fascinating to me, Gregory -- the hype card. I should do a blog on it actually. It's really hilarious how people fall in love with "THE CARD" and it sweeps through Splinterlands like a prairie wildfire! HAHA They find this perfect combination, and then BAM! You see that card EVERYWHERE... then all the sudden.. poof... suddenly it's not the most amazing card because some NEW combination has won! And the cycle goes on! ;) I just want to know: has it ALWAYS been this way then? Based upon what you're saying above, it seems like it! HAHA Cracks me up.. I JUST WANT TO KNOW.. what's the next Magic CARD!?!?! :) Have a great week Gregory! Great post!
If I knew that, I would be a Splinterlands Champion! But yes, it has always been like that. When this all started out, a lot of cards got new abilities added or taken away because they were too week or too powerful. They don't do that much anymore, now they try to introduce new rulesets that give unpopular cards more use like they did with todays card.
