In the battle to follow I show how I have a Cave Slugs help me win in. I like the opportunity ability a lot and with life splinter leaning more towards toughness it helps to select attacking my opponents with Cave Slugs.
Formations
I started Lord Arianthus and continue with Silvershield Warrior, Cave Slugs, Silvershield Assassin and finish off with Silvershield Knight and Defender of Truth. I went mostly with Silvershield monsters as its a signature of life splinter but mixed it with Cave Slugs and Defender of Truth to have supplemental attacks.
My opponent also went with life splinter and also used several Silvershield monsters. They also included supplemental monsters in Feral Spirit and Eleven Cutthroat.
Round 1
Off to a great start my opponent takes out my Defender of Truth. In return my Cave Slugs knocked out Elven Cutthroat.
Round 2
The second round seems to be a turn around for my formation as I was able to knock out their Assassin and Feral Spirit. It was now five on three.
Round 3
End of the third round did not change as no monsters were knocked out.
Round 4
It would not take long to finish off my opponent as I knock out the remaining monsters with ease. In five rounds the match was over. The Cave Slug was helpful in pinpointing the knockout of monsters limiting my opponent's attacks. If I have to say beside my Lord being a solid tanker my Cave Slugs is second best in that it was able to knock out monsters. The opportunity ability is what makes the monster that good.
