This week's battle post from splinterlands is focused on Dark Ha'on. It is an Untamed legendary card and I do not own it in the account. Instead then I would like to compare it to something that I do own but not exactly the same type of card. The life splinter's Shieldbearer that has Taunt ability is in focus.
The similarities bewtween Dark Ha'on and Shieldbearer are they both are melee attack monsters, high mana cards, and at base level have the ability of Taunt. Beyond that they two are quite different. Shieldbearer has more toughness while Dark Ha'on has more health. One higher rarity then the other and both are different splinters.
In any case I would like to use Shieldbearer and talk about why it is good to use the monster in battle. The following battle with a 99 mana is where I will use Sheildbearer and explain the pros and cons of it.

Formations
I started out with Goblin Mech followed up with Sand Worm, The Vigilator, Silvershield Assassin, Shield Bearer, and end it with Silvershield Shreiff. The goal was to fill the formation with high mana monsters while having a full aggressive attacking lineup combined with some decent thoughness.
My opponent went with death splinter and lead off with Phantasm, Haunted Spirit, Goblin Mech, Sand Worm, Ancient Lich, and end with Cornealus. Again my opponent also focus on high mana monsters mixed with all kinds of attacks from melee to magic and range.
Round 1

With the rule set equalizer all the monsters were able to sustain first round of attacks and remain alive and well on both sides. The other rule set in match was explosive and still all monsters intact.
Round 2

Round 2 is where we see the benefits of having Shieldbearer. What essentially happened was my Assassin knocked out my opponent's Cornealus and my Sand Worm took out their Lich. It was now 6 against 4 but what is noticable was that my Shieldbearer absorb a lot of my opponent's attacks. While my opponent did not have a monster with taunt so my monsters were able to attack accordingly.
Round 3

In the middle of round 3 I was able to knock out their Phantasm then their Sand Worm. They were down to two monsters while I still had six.
Round 4

My opponent would not make out in 4 rounds and all monsters were gone while I had my entire lineup intact.
Link to the match if you want to watch.
Conclusions
What was impressive was how my Silverbearer was able to handle my opponent's attacks while the remaining of my formation when on an attack spree. The rule set equalizer help keep my Silverbearer alive longer than normal. This allow my formation to combine their attacks towards my opponent and slowly take away their attackers. My formation with high melee attacks would be enough to knock out my opponent with ease but what was amazing was that all my monsters survived the battle. I guess the high melee and high health definitely help a lot too.
Until tomorrow happy Splinterlands to everyone.
