This weeks featured card in Splinterlands Share Your Battle Challenge is Mycelic Morphoid.
This Weeks Featured Card:
Mycelic Morphoid
Addition: Chaos Legion
Mana: 1
Level: 3
Attack: 1 Range
Speed: 1
Health: 2
Ability: Thorns
I have a level 3 version of Mycelic Morphoid giving him the thorns ability. This common 1 mana card is one of those cards that you use in a low mana battle to fill an extra spot. I rarely use this card but he does come in handy sometimes. See my featured battle here.
This was not a low mana battle at 99 mana cap with the rules Lost Legendary meaning you cannot use legendary monsters in the battle. Also True Aim meaning range and melee attack monsters always hit their target.
My Line Up
Summoner
I used Obsidian who gives all friendly monsters with magic attack plus 1 magic. I have this summoner at level 2 which allows me to play common cards up to level 3.
1st Position
I Put Grund, a powerful 10 mana melee attack card with the double strike ability. This card has 11 health, 3 speed and 3 melee attack. With high health and the possibility of doing up to 6 damage per round this is a very powerful tank.
2nd Position
I used the feature card Mycelic Morphoid. This is a 1 mana card and has 2 health, 1 speed and 1 melee attack. Having the thorns ability I put him up close to the front of the line up just in case he took a melee attack. To be honest this card had little to do with the battle having all the heavy hitters in the rest of the line up.
3rd Position
I went with Regal Peryton with the flying ability. This is a 5 mana card and has 6 health, 6 speed and 1 magic attack. With the speed and the flying ability this is a hard monster to hit. It also gains 1 magic attack from the summoner making it a solid card for the middle of the line up.
4th Position
I used Goblin Psychic a 6 mana card with the tank heal ability. It has 5 health, 2 magic attack and 1 speed. I was hoping the tank heal would keep Grund alive long enough to do a lot of damage.
5th Position
I put Mycelic Slipspawn with the taunt ability. A 9 mana card with 11 health, 2 magic attack and 2 speed this card is in there to take a bunch of hits while the rest of my line up gets some good attacks in hopefully lasting long enough to for me to gain an advantage.
6th Position
In the final position I threw in Magi Of Chaos a 6 mana card with no ability 5 health, 2 magic attack and 2 speed. I figured with the extra magic attack from the summoner this would be a solid card to hold the back of the line up and get a few nice attacks in.
It started off looking pretty even but Grund went to work for me and made short work of my opponents line up. Check out my battle here.
I hope you enjoy the battle and maybe even get some ideas in some of the strategy of the game. See you next time.
