The Three Assets:
Cards- The cards can be played to earn dec. They count for drops of sps.
DEC- Counts towards sps airdrop and can be used to purchase cards.
SPS- Can be used for purchasing splinterlands credits, they will supply vouchers for the new set Chaos Legion about to come out(voucher required to participate), and will be the governing token(decision making weight) of splinterlands. Can be staked for at time of writing this 107% APR.
We get roughly 11 months more of sps air drop, free coins from assets.
New Variables:
The release of chaos legion will without a doubt bring must have cards to succeed in the game. There has been talk of a dual rewards pool of old format cards and new. Example, alpha, beta, and x is one format format and then a format with untamed, chaos legion, dice, etc.
I expect land to have a huge impact on success in the game, therefore, it will be a huge influence on price.

It's really interesting to me that if sps just became more valuable then it makes dec more valuable because dec calculates into sps airdrop.
Change over last 24 hours in sps
Dec is showing a 7% increase over last 24 hours as per coinmarketcap
I've been saying all along that Splinterlands can turn the gas on when it's ready by releasing the increased use cases of sps. Long term we should be fine especially with the 107% apr staking. However, to give the most transparent, well rounded view, it will matter what incredibly large holders of sps do. But, I'm sure they're not interested in a price crash, instead they would want steady growth.***
We went through a recent sell off of sps because use case wasn't staring us in the face. Once the governing of SPS becomes a reality or even the specifics of how it will work we can expect an increase in price.*** If more use case is revealed in other ways we will again expect an increase in price. (Before 9/17/2021)
It's nice that sps value is being protected by use case and we get a 107% apr for staking.
What an adventure we have ahead of us.

This is Photons. So what I've been doing is staking 400 SPS in hopes of just getting 1 voucher per day then I've been taking the 6 sps I earn daily and converting it to DEC. With rentals and the conversion I'm getting around 370 DEC per day and this allows me to build up free money because every 5 days I gain $10 in DEC and the higher my DEC is stacked the more I will continue to earn. The higher sps goes up in price the more DEC I am able to buy so it's kind of a strange win win scenario. I will not be buying anymore cards or anything until CL packs are able to be bought via voucher. I will try to save my DEC earned and just purchase credits so the amount of airdrops only increase and my 1 voucher will let me buy a pack a day, hoping that it will occur that way and then when RiftWatchers comes out I'll be able to dump all my DEC into the packages which will give me a few hundred dollars worth of packs.

Hey I just realized you are the founder of Auctionz wow I had no idea. I just bought a ton of cards on there and was promoting it on discord. The 3.25% is crazy good.
I think the best way to maintain value is
1 buying alpha or beta cards.
2 getting as much SPS as you can
Dec in my opinion is not that great. Bigger risks
SPT would be also really good, but it has to get more ways to use it. If that happens spt can get really big.

can buy card packs with credits? i buy daily potions before but that is removed from game
chaos legion packs should be accepting credts for purchase.
daily potions are no longer available.
you can still get daily potions, just costs DEC now only, and its 750 per potion so not really worth it unless you hella lucky or don't mind burning the DEC for the extra cards in circulation atm.
I'm trying to grow my DEC. More DEC for more airdrop. That said, cant save DEC if I dont stop buying cards.
