You ever seen a unit just pop off before the enemy even gets to breathe? That’s the kind of chaos the Shock Trooper brings. It’s one of those units that looks crazy at first glance but crazier once the battle starts.
The mix of speed and power is what makes this card so scary. With 4 magic damage at lower levels and 5 magic damage at max level, Swiftness, and Magic Reflect, it not only deals massive hits but also boosts your whole squad’s speed while providing an aggressive protection.

Let's talk about… Shock Trooper

Lash Stagmuck, the scavo technomancer renowned for his role in creating the runi, is hard at work on his next invention: the electrovolt zappack.
This handy contraption consists of a backpack infused with mana, water, and bottled lightning, used to empower a weapon with electrically charged water magic.

Buy and Rent:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
At $1.719, Shock Trooper feels a bit expensive especially since it’s only level 1. Most level 1 cards don’t even cross the $1 mark, so this one’s sitting higher than usual. It’s strong for sure, but for that price, you might want to think twice unless you really need that 4 magic attack in your magic lineup.
At 1.849 DEC per day, renting this card is on the pricey side too. If you’re gonna rent a level 1, you might as well just play and save Glint from ranked battles then grab an Epic Pack from the Glint Store. Who knows, maybe you’ll pull your own Shock Trooper after a few games and skip the rent altogether. It's way more worth it in the long run.

Rule Sets:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Use it in... |
![]() All units gain True Strike (attacks will never miss). Since attacks can’t miss, Shock Trooper’s high speed becomes even deadlier paired with its Swiftness ability at max level. That helps your whole team land every hit first. While you can argue that magic attacks doesn't miss already, it can deter enemies from using Phase and Phase Ward to counter Shock Trooper. |
![]() All units with magic and ranged attacks have Scattershot (magic and ranged attacks target a random enemy unit). Random targeting helps spread Shock Trooper’s heavy 5 magic damage around the enemy lineup which can wipe out weak supports fast, if you're lucky. |
![]() All units have Blast (deals an additional 50% damage to units adjacent to the target, rounded up). Combined with Swiftness, Shock Trooper’s hits explode across the field damaging those beside your main target even before slower enemies can react. |
Avoid using it in... |
![]() All units have Opportunity (targets the enemy unit with the least health). With only 6 health, it can become a prime target for the whole enemy lineup pretty quickly. You’ll need a heavy frontline with lower health or some Taunt units to keep it alive. |
![]() All units with magic and ranged attacks have Snipe (magic and ranged attacks target the first non-melee enemy unit behind the first position). All ranged and magic units gain Snipe so Shock Trooper’s safety may lack depending on how good your other units are. |
![]() All Units start the battle Poisoned. Even at max level, Shock Trooper only has 6 health and with its Electrified, this unit is not good in a long, dragged on fight. So, in Noxious Fumes rule set, not only your Shock Trooper is in danger but also the rest of your team. |

Battle Strat: I have a full team of magic attack with two tanks. I chose the best units I have with highest health as possible. I don't want to get stuck on a stalemate with my Shock Trooper electrifying my whole team so I must have high attack and high damage with the exception of Moxian Rebel. This team is fairly straightforward. You hit strong and hit hard and hope that the enemy's overall health is below yours.
Battle Summary: The enemy's Saltwater Mage was certainly a problem in this battle even killing my Shock Trooper twice but not before my Shock Trooper and the rest of my team kills the three tanks from the opposing side. Since both sides do not have any counter against magic attack, this battle is a matter of who has bigger attack and fortunately, in this battle, that was me.
