What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a card game, similar with Hearthstone, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, with multiple ways to capitalise and make money, real money, by playing it or trading in it. You can start earning as soon as you buy a Spellbook ($10) getting DEC tokens and NFT monster cards via daily quests and season quests (every 2 weeks). There is an airdrop daily, for a whole year, currently at day 250/365, I think, and you can still get some nice governance tokens just by playing the game for the next year. Everything counts, cards, DEC on HIVE, WAX, ETH and BSC, lands, titles, skins. You can maximize the airdrop by staking all you SPS for a 26.8% APR right now. Another way to make profit is to rent cards, getting paid in DEC tokens for it. But, my, oh my, the renting price right now is so, so low.
At last, we can finally buy packs with 4$, using just Credits. Even then, if you want to get the extra packs, you still need vouchers, but just for the bonus packs. An awesome hint from a really good player (not me), if you open your packs after the Legendary summoners are introduced, you have a small chance to get them from the packs. Unlike right now. I believe that lands will be introduced next in the second quarter of 2022, I believe, with a price of 500$ on average for each at the moment. Just check this awesome page about what are the Lands supposed to do.
Radiated Brute is a gem, with Reach at level 1 (attacking from the second position) and Enrage at level 6, making it ideal to fight against opponents using Blast, or rulesets using the same skill - Blast, or Earthquake. At max level this card has 4 Melee damage, 4 Speed and 6 Health, making it a cheaper version of Fineas Rage, with only 5 Mana cost instead of 9 Mana for Fineas.
So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:
Mana Limit: 20
Rulesets: Healed Out (no healing) and Melee Mayhem (all melee monsters attack from any position)
Teams:
Mine - Summoner: Tarsa (giving +1 Melee Attack boost and +1 Health boost) , with Living Lava with Shield and Rust as the main tank, reducing Armor and Damage received, backed up by a Radiated Brute attacking from the second position with Reach and Enrage as a bonus, Flame Monkey with Repair Armor, Scorch Fiend as fodder, Uraeus with Sneak and Poison to clear the background, and finally, a Chicken as fodder just because it is free to use it.
Opponent - Summoner: Quidd Duff adding Piercing to all his cards, with Antoid Platoon as the main tank, backed up by a Djinn Apprentice with Magic, Scavo Firebolt and Spark Pixies with Flight, both Ranged, and a Furious Chicken.
This was a interesting battle, but my opponent cards being level 1 did not helped his cause, with all his cards destroyed before the end of the second round. This was a massacre. I almost feel bad for his superb Max level Fire summoner.
Star of the game - The Living Lava, stopping all the enemies and enduring hit after hit.
On the side note, my continuous support for Splintertalk.io is going well, with my SPT tokens number raising to 1 million. All of it is delegated to @monster-curator, as this account is doing a great work curating the best posts on the forum. I have finally reached the needed SPT power (105K at the moment) to manually curate on Splinterlalk.io. Also, working on acquiring 50K Oneup (3712 UP now) next, inspired by the Cartel efforts. Bought 200K Level too, for PsiberX airdrop (147K now), as I also managed to round up 100 Hive to buy a piece of Land in their game.
