What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a card game, similar with Hearthstone, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, with multiple ways to capitalise and make money, real money, by playing it or trading in it. You can start earning as soon as you buy a Spellbook ($10) getting DEC tokens and NFT monster cards via daily quests and season quests (every 2 weeks). The airdrop ended. You can still get some rewards staking all you SPS for a 36.70% APR right now. Holy Molly! I got one validator, and if you want to know, all the licences from the pre-sale were sold in 12 minutes. You can buy one in the Tranche 1, paying $3000 in SPS. You can get it much cheaper (around $800 less) if you buy 500 Vouchers and use them when you buy a licence. Another way to make profit is to rent cards, getting paid in DEC tokens for it. But, my, oh my, the renting price right now is so, so low. Check the contest at the end of this post!
We can buy still Chaos Legion packs with 4$, using just DEC, for a 45% discount right now (something like $2.10 per pack instead of $4). Even then, if you want to get the extra packs, you still need vouchers, but just for the bonus packs. An awesome hint from a really good player (not me), if you open your packs after the Legendary summoners are introduced, you have a small chance to get them from the packs. The Riftwatchers pack will be here at the end of September, and you need 5$ of SPS +1 Voucher to buy 1 pack, 43 cards in total, including the 5 airdrops. We also had a lot of activity this past week, with the Tower Defence game pre-sale, Runi NFT and Splinterland legendary neutral card, and on top of that another airdrop for Chaos Legion - Jacek, which I did not max out yet. It was announced that Lands NFT are coming in the third quarter now, with the new Roadmap proposed by Splinterlands. Just check this awesome page about what are the Lands supposed to do.
The Life Sapper is a Rare Desth splinter unit, with Life Leech (getting Health when in doing damage) and Redemption (deal 1 damage to all enemies upon dying), and at max level it has 2 Magic damage, 4 Speed and 4 Health. All of it for only 3 Mana cost, making it very useful in rulesets like Little League, Poison and low mana cost battles.

Mine - Summoner: Waka Spiritblade, giving all monsters Poison ability, with Cursed Slimeball first to do some damage when it dies using Redemption, with Haunted Spirit as main tank with Magic Reflect and Heal, Shadowy Presence second to defend against some hits, raising all the cards Health by +1, Life Sapper for 2 Magic damage and Leech to increase its own health, Uraeus with Sneak and Poison, and Chaos Agent, with Phase and Dodge, hopefully avoiding some attacks.
Opponent - Summoner: Tarsa, increasing Health and Melee damage by +1, with Venari Heatsmith as main tank with Void Armor and Amplify, Elemental Phoenix with Flying and Blast, and Uraeus last, with Sneak and Poison.
Round 1 - The Slimeball died first, damaging all the opponent cards by -1.
Round 2 - Chaos Agent died poisoned, as his Uraeus followed right after it. Then I killed his Venari Heatsmith.
Round 3 - The Phoenix was defeated, victory was mine.
Star of the game - The Haunted Spirit, for holding the gates and healing itself.
On the side note, my continuous support for Splintertalk.io is going well, with my SPT tokens number raising over 1.13 million. All of it is delegated to @monster-curator, as this account is doing a great work curating the best posts on the forum. I have finally reached the needed SPT power (110K at the moment) to manually curate on Splinterlalk.io. Also, i have finished working on acquiring 50K+ 1UP (59k 1UP now) next, inspired by the Cartel efforts. On top of this, it will be a new soccer game and another tower defense too (all packs already sold on pre-sale), made by the Splinterlands team, with quite some interesting mechanisms. Coming up in September-October with the first versions!
