What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a Play2Earn game, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, with multiple ways to capitalise and make money, real money, by playing it or trading in it. You can start earning as soon as you buy a Spellbook ($10) getting SPS tokens and NFT monster cards via daily quests and season quests (every 2 weeks). Sometimes you may even win a 5 cards packs with your rewards. You can also get rewards from staking the SPS you got from rewards, or by owning a node licence (4 Vouchers and 22 SPS daily this week), or from owning Nightmare packs (the Tower Defence game) or Land NFTs. Bonus, if you stake SPS, until October 2023, for a whole year, you will receive daily GLS tokens airdropped to use on the Genesis League game, which can be also staked now for extra rewards.
Right now you can still buy NFT packs from Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers collections. An awesome hint from a really good player (not me), if you open your packs after the Legendary summoners are introduced, you have a small chance to get them from the packs. There is also a bulk pack buy on splinter.fi, where you can get CL with 2700 DEC per pack. Land 0.5 update is here, and you can transform you land NFTs in deeds, before you prospect them in the next update
The Mycelic Infantry is a Rare Earth Splinter unit, with Shield at level 1, reducind damage from melee and ranged attacks, Giant Killer skill at level 5, doing double damage on targets with health higher than 10, and Enrage at max level 8, improving all stats after it was sustaining damage. It is quite a good choice in 'Up, close and personal' ruleset, where only melee attackers are allowed, but in a high mana cost battle with Super Sneak ruleset, where all the cards got Sneak and attack the last card in the team, can be useful last to hold the door (you see what I did here, Hodlor?).

So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:
Mana Limit: 29
Rulesets: Stampede (Tramble can be activated more than once) and Up, close and personal ruleset, where only melee attackers are allowed.
Teams:
Mine - Summoner: I chose the Wizard of Eastwood, for his minus -2 Armor penalty, and my tank of choice was of course the Mycelic Infantry, followed by a Bramble Pixie with Reach as back-up, my loial Runi with Opportunity and Ressurect, Goblin Thief with Sneak and a Mycelic Morphoid to defend the back from Sneak.
Opponent - Summoner: Obsidian level 3 as it was probably his only summoner, on a Melee battle, boosting magic by +1. the cards were a bit odd, as probably this was a bot, with Fungus Fiend, Hill Giant, Pelacor Mercenary with Flight, a Mycelic Infantry on the 4th position, with Shield, and a Mycelic Morphoid with Thorns. So basically he had only one card attacking every turn while I had 4.
Round 1 - His Fungus Fiend and the Morphoid died, and his Hill Giant was left with 1 Health. Not bad.
Round 2 - Hil Giant Died, and his Mercenary was seriously damaged. This is a massacre!
Round 3 - The Mercenary died.
Round 4 - His Mycelic Infantry died. Flawless victory!
