My battle to share is a fierce showdown between Lux Vega and Thaddius Brood, featuring the ferocity battle ruleset. This rule grants all monsters the powerful fury ability. Join me as I recount how I triumphed over Lux, a coveted neutral summoner.
BATTLE RULESET
Prior to selecting the elements for your lineup, it is crucial to carefully examine and analyze the battle rules. In this particular battle, I encountered a combination of three rules: no legendaries, fire and regret, and ferocity. The battle had a maximum mana limit of 38, and the allowed elements were fire, death, and dragon. Join me as I recount my strategic approach to this intense encounter.
In this battle, it is important to note that using monsters with the taunt ability is not advisable due to the presence of the ferocity rule, which grants all monsters the fury ability, resulting in double damage against taunting monsters. Additionally, with the fire and regret elements, range attack monsters will also face a disadvantageous situation. Therefore, prioritizing the use of magic attack type monsters becomes crucial for this battle.
BATTLE LINE UP
Below is my line up for this battle.
From the death element, I have chosen Thaddius Brood and selected monsters that can effectively counter magic and melee attacks. In the first position, I have placed Pelacor Deceiver, a flying monster with the abilities of backfire and retaliate. What I particularly like about Pelacor Deceiver is its high speed, which complements its flying ability. In the second position, I have positioned Supply Runner, which possesses the abilities of swiftness and strengthen. Ravenhood Warden occupies the third position, providing armor and +1 melee attack to friendly monsters. Silent Sha-vi takes the fourth position, serving as the key attacker against my opponent's backline. Cursed Windeku assumes the fifth position and functions as a tank at the rear, with abilities such as melee return damage, heal, and slow. Lastly, in the last position, I have placed Magi Necrosi, whose ability will not be targeted unless it occupies the first position. In essence, my fifth position acts as a decoy to absorb sneak attacks from my opponent. Magi Necrosi also possesses the abilities of snipe, oppress, and stun.

CONCLUSION
As we can observe from the outcome, our pre-battle considerations were accurate. Magic monsters were predominantly used, while my opponent refrained from employing range attacks. Our strategic selection of monsters and summoner to counter melee and magic proved to be superior. Firstly, the summoner reduced the opponent's magic attack and health by 1. The combination of additional armor, health, melee attack, and slow abilities worked effectively in this battle. The standout performer in this encounter was Curse Windeku, who remained resilient until my opponents with sneak attacks were eliminated, thanks to the melee return damage ability.
That concludes our battle for this week. I look forward to our next encounter with more battle mage secrets. Feel free to check and join us in Splinterlands using my referral link below.
