Its time for another Splinterlands battle challenge. This week's theme does not feature a specific card, instead its ANY Dragon card which is quite fun. We can choose to feature ANY Dragon card we want. For this post were going to highlight the Dragon Summoner card: Brighton Bloom.
Battle Ruleset
Earthquake: Monsters without flight ability will be hit with 2 melee damage after every round ends.
Explosive Weaponry: All monsters get the Blast Ability which does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster.
Lineup Strategy
The card that we want to feature in this post. The Flying ability this card gives to all friendly monsters is exactly what we need in this matchup to prevent damage from the Earthquake battle condition.
One of my favorite tanks in the game. We're going to use this card as backup tank to protect our team from attacks at the front once our tank monster dies. Its Thorns ability, that does damage back to a Melee attacker when hit, will be useful once it assumes the tank position.
We're using Hill Giant to absorb Blast damage each time our tank and backup tank gets attacked. Its high health of 6 can surely take several hits before going down.
We're using this card as our tank monster. Its in the third position because its Taunt ability forces all enemy Monsters to target it (if they are able to) and also to allow Djinn Chwala to attack. It can also attack on this position since its using Magic.
This card will be our healer, restoring a portion of the Monster in the first position's health each round. It can also do a decent Magic damage of 2.
We're placing this card in the 5th position since its using Ranged attack and can do a decent damage of 2.
Our Sniper monster will be on the last position targeting enemy monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position. Hopefully our tank monsters will be able to protect it till the last round so that it can take down many enemy monsters using this ability.

Our opponent used Obsidian as summoner boosting enemy monsters' Magic damage by 1.
Our team was able to kill 1 enemy monster in Round 1. However, we lost our healer monster in this round due to Blast damage.
Mantoid was able to kill the enemy tank monster and another one of them died due to Earthquake damage in Round 2. However, 3 monsters died from our team due to Blast damage in this round.
Djinn Chwala was able to kill an enemy monster with its Thorns ability in Round 3. Our team is a bit on the advantage at this point since the remaining enemy monsters are already low on health.
The enemy Unicorn Mustang died of Earthquake damage while Mantoid killed the remaining enemy monster in round 4 ending this battle with our victory.
Conclusion
Correct positioning of each monster on the battlefield really is a must on a Blast battle condition. Unfortunately, I was not able to properly position our team in this battle. Good thing Djinn Chwala had enough power to carry our team to victory.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Our strategy of using Djinn Chwala to do more damage to Melee enemy monsters worked. However, bad positioning almost caused us this battle.
I should have placed Mycelic Slipspawn on the 2nd position and used a monster that reduces damage on the 3rd slot. This way our healer might have survived longer.
Do you like the DRAGONS? Why or why not?
I like using Dragons on battles where only Melee damage monsters are allowed to get access and take advantage of Djinn Chwala's Thorns ability.
Till the next Splinterlands Battle Challenge. Stay safe and have a great day!!!
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
