Lineup Strategy

Summoner: Tyrus Paladium

My usual summoner on a Life Splinter lineup. The +1 Armor that he adds to friendly monsters is a huge advantage specially on enemy monsters that use Sneak or Opportunity abilities. They get an extra protection from a critical hit by the enemy monster.

Tank: Crystal Jaguar

We are going to use our featured card Crystal Jaguar as a tank in this lineup. For just 4 mana we get a 5 health monster with 1 armor. It does not have any abilities since its only level 1. But it can surely take hits giving our damage dealer some time to takeout enemy monsters.

Pelacor Conjurer

Our backup tank in this lineup. This card will takeover once Crystal Jaguar dies and hopefully last till the last round to protect our damage dealer. We get a 4 health monster for only 2 mana. Although it does not have any attack, its Flying ability gives it a chance to dodge attacks increasing its chance of surviving longer in battle.

Mother Khala

We are using this card because of its Heal ability. Hopefully it heals Crystal Jaguar long enough for it to survive and give our damage dealer ample time to kill our opponent's monsters.

Lone Boatman

Our damage dealer in this lineup. We'll take advantage of its Snipe ability to target our opponent's damage dealers that are using Ranged or Magic attacks.

Our opponent had the advantage at the beginning of the round because of the Weaken ability that the enemy Undead Priest has. This reduces our team's Health by 1.

We were able to kill the enemy Undead Priest on Round 2 gaining back our team's 1 health. However, Pelacor Conjurer is hanging on to its low health because our opponent has two monsters with the Snipe ability that's been targeting it since Round 1. It was able to dodge a few of their attacks but I think its not gonna last long.

As we've anticipated, Pelacor Conjurer died by Round 4. Our opponent still has two damage dealers with the Snipe ability which more likely are gonna be targeting the healer in our lineup since it does not attack. Crystal Jaguar is still alive and kicking protecting the Lone damage dealer of our team.

Lone Boatman was able to successfully kill the two damage dealers of our opponent by Round 5. There is only one enemy monster left on the battlefield. However, its ability to Heal itself by 2 each round would be difficult since our team's total attack damage per Round is only 3.

It took our team several rounds but they were able to finally defeat our opponent's remaining monster by Round 10. Crystal Jaguar and Lone Boatman's teamwork made it possible for our team to turn things around and win this battle.

Conclusion

Mother Khala's Heal ability was the key in keeping Crystal Jaguar alive until the last round. We needed Crystal Jaguar's push in the last few rounds since the remaining enemy monster was able to Heal itself each round. Its 1 melee attack damage helped us win this battle since Loan Boatman's attack was being negated by the enemy monster's Heal ability.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Our strategy of keeping Crystal Jaguar alive as long as possible and protect Lone Boatman from attacks worked. It was also able do some damage that helped our team defeat our opponent's lineup.
I would have used Silvershield Archers on the 2nd position if I had it in my inventory since it can also deal 1 Ranged attack damage for only 2 mana.

Do you like the CRYSTAL JAGUAR? Why or why not?

I like using Crystal Jaguar in low mana matchups when using a Life Splinter lineup. It only costs 4 mana but can take a few hits with its 5 health and 1 armor.

Till the next Battle Challenge fellow adventurers. I hope you liked our featured battle in this post. Have a great day!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
