This week’s Community Engagement Challenge is all about giving those unsung heroes their moment. Hidden Gems invites players to spotlight the underrated, overlooked, or misunderstood cards that quietly carry battles from the shadows.
Every Splinterlands player has that one card they secretly swear by… the one no one else seems to notice, draft, or even mention. It the past were the Ant Miners... but things have changed!

Your mission is simple… yet deeply strategic. Choose a card you believe deserves more love and make a case for why it’s far more powerful than the meta gives it credit for.
It’s time to celebrate the cards that aren’t flashy on paper…but win games where it matters! Explain what makes it special, and the mana caps or rulesets where it turns into a beast!
Destiny is forged in war! Like the story of Korgha Ghashglok, who led the Duratuk's shadow war against the Torvingor Kalamenty from the forests of the Northern Highlands.
According to the lore, Korgha was using pools and streams as scrying mirrors, she followed the Legions' every move! She orchestrated ambushes so devastating that they became whispered tales of dread among the empire's soldiers.
Her shamanism turned the land itself into a weapon... slowing her enemies, blinding them with fog and fear, and ensuring their counterattacks crumbled before they could begin.
Retreat, for her foes, was no escape but a death sentence. Her victory was unespected and against all odds, and not many know that her once pure heart was corrupted during her campaigns!
Through relentless cunning, unwavering persistence, and a bond with the land that no invader could sever, Korgha proved that even the mightiest legions could falter, and that the fight for Praetoria was far from over.
This unit costs a hefty 10 mana, but it’s an absolute game-changer! The Warborn Shaman's high magical damage and void armor makes this unit a force and brings domination on the battlefield. But wait... there’s more!
As it levels up, she gains abilities like Impede, Ambush, Poison, and Heal. Seriously, are you kidding me? This isn’t just a unit... it's chaos incarnated! Pun intended for World of Warcraft players!

The Warborn Shaman was destined for battle... and I lucked into an ideal set of rules on the very first try. Equalizer and Wands...Out created a beautifully chaotic dynamic, forcing an all-caster showdown. With a generous 48 mana cap, I mixed heavy hitters with cheaper but deadly supports to maximize pressure.
The core of my plan was simple... keep Djinn Muriat alive as long as possible with Corrupted Healing while the rest of the squad melted anything in front of them. What I didn’t expect was such a weak opposing lineup... only two enemies dared to enter this glorious clash.
Thaddius Brood: +1 Gladiator Card and -1 Spell Power to enemies
Djinn Muriat: Caster with Void Armor and Knock Out
Warborn Shaman: Caster with Void Armor
Usut: Caster with Flying and Bloodlust
Venari Bonesmith: Caster with Life Leech
Arachne Weaver: Caster with Corrupted Healing
Magi Necrosi: Caster with Snipe and Camouflage

A scroll written with blood is the only memory left of the battle that changed Korgha forever, the day that she accepted the darkness. As the battle commenced, she was met with an unexpected sight—only two enemies !
Skok Duskblight and Usut, remnants of a once-mighty legion, now reduced to mere obstacles in her path. For a fleeting moment, she a pang of disappointment.
Was this truly all they could muster? Had they underestimated Korgha so greatly? Or was there some hidden trick lurking beneath their rotting flesh?
Regardless, She did not hesitate. Her army surged forward, unrelenting in its assault. Djinn Muriat, bathed in Corrupted Healing’s dark energy, stood like an immortal guardian, soaking up the futile strikes of the undead.
Skok Duskblight, despite his ferocity, fell first. His wails of rage echoed before he was silenced, his necrotic form collapsing into dust. Usut followed shortly after, his corrupted energy dissipating into the void. Their defeat was absolute, their souls shattered.
Yet, as their essence scattered, something strange occurred. The Warboard Shaman, a faithful spellcaster, did not merely witness their demise... he consumed it.
A guttural chant emanated from her as the lingering remnants of Skok and Usut's undead energy coiled around his form like a living shadow. Her body convulsed, her veins glowing with a sickly purple hue.
The air crackled with dark power. What had once been an adept spellcaster was now something far more sinister. She had absorbed their strength, their knowledge of death magic, their very will to persist beyond the grave.
As the energy settled, the Shaman straightened, her eyes now burning with an eerie light. Her aura was different!
She become stronger... she had transcended the limits of mortality, now carrying within him the echoes of those he had vanquished. The battle would not be fought with mere magic but with the stolen might of the fallen. See the full battle here!
Thaddius Brood brought the perfect touch, granting an extra Gladiator card and reducing enemy spell power. Djinn Muriat anchored the frontline with Void Armor and Knock Out, while Warborn Shaman reinforced our magical wall.
Usut soared above the fray with Flying and unleashed Bloodlust, Venari Bonesmith stacked Life Leech for late-game dominance, Arachne Weaver kept the sustain flowing through Corrupted Healing, and Magi Necrosi sniped safely from the shadows with Camouflage.
