The Splinterlands Remarkable Saga - Conclave Arcana And Mighty Dragons

Blending deep strategy with the power of decentralization, Splinterlands has redefined blockchain gaming. Here, players don’t just play — they own their in-game assets, making every battle more than just a fight.

Whether you’re purchasing cards, unlocking reward chests, or opening packs, every asset is securely stored on the blockchain, ensuring true ownership and full control over your collection.

Each action is a stake in the game’s universe, either a battle with dragons or buying a pack when the Conclave Arcana goes live! Vonak!

Want to see something remarkable? Using a 10-mana summoner for a low mana battle is insane… but I’vvvvvvve doneee it!

You know expensive summoners are not often used in a 19-mana battle, for obvious reasons! However, I went for Nidhoggr and filled up the ranks with low cost units. This dragon was flying cheap like Ryanair!

Nidhoggr: -1 Health & -1 Armor to enemies, plus tactics.

Scorch Fiend: Melee Zero Mana Legendary

Halfling Refugee: Melee with Weary

Kra’ar Xoc: Support with Scavenger

Moxian Rebel: Caster with Weapon Training

Venari Heathsmith: Support with Void Armor

I can’t remember why I went for Nidhoggr in a battle with only 19 mana for team selection, but the tactic was excellent. I used the Scorch Fiend as a decoy, and the Halfling Refugee as the main tank! The Moxian Rebel boosted two support units with magical power, and the summoner added Blast and Deathblow to trio!

I was facing the hulking Commander Slade, backed up with heals from the Merdaali Guardian. Luckly enough, my casters were supercharged with blasting powers, and they ensured that the healer wouldn’t survive past the first round.

At the start of round two, Commander Slade was alone against my minions. His attack took half of the Halfling health and reduced his attack but wasn’t enough to tip the scale in his favor. The casters launched a rain of arcane missles and secured the victory! See the full battle here!

Now let’s dive into what’s yet to come! The world of Splinterlands stands on the brink of transformation with the upcoming release of Conclave Arcana, the sixth core set.

From humble beginnings as a novice summoner to facing legendary foes, the journey has been filled with growth, grit, and glory. Now, a new chapter unfolds — infused with powerful spells, mysterious forces, and revolutionary strategies that promise to reshape the battlefield.

This new era of magic invites both veterans and newcomers to embrace an experience where arcane wonder meets high-stakes competition.

Portia Nyr and her Conclave Arcana emerge in pursuit of Praetoria’s greatest secret… an ancient power scattered across the land. Determined to claim it, Portia’s ambitions threaten to reshape the world.

When Mothrook spy Kelan Gaines uncovers her plot, his warnings fall on distracted ears. The Riftwatchers, seeking allies, turn to the League of Verico — and to you.

As a battle mage, your choices will shape the fate of Praetoria. The challenge is clear: stop Portia, or risk the rise of a new dark age.

Conclave Arcana: Innovation Unleashed! Conclave Arcana arrives with 82 new cards spanning all rarities, bolstered by nine powerful airdrop cards — including six player-designed Legendary archons — and two exclusive presale promos.

This sixth core set ushers in a new era of innovation for Splinterlands, introducing never-before-seen features such as:

  • Nine New Abilities — Mechanics like Resurgence, Painforge, and Bloodline Dominion shake up strategy and redefine combat.
  • Archon Bloodlines — A revolutionary system allowing summoning across elements based on shared ancestry.
  • New Pack Types & Card Foils — Including the first alternate foils in the game’s history.
  • Summoner Rebrand — Players are now the summoners, channeling archons who wield elemental and bloodline-based power.

With these groundbreaking updates, Conclave Arcana delivers a bold new gameplay experience, rich in synergy, strategy, and arcane potential.

Conclave Arcana introduces an exciting evolution in how players access cards and build their collections, with new pack types and foil variations adding both strategic and collectible depth.

Starter Packs offer an affordable gateway for newcomers and returning players, priced at just 1,000 DEC or $1 in Credits. Each pack contains five cards — one guaranteed Rare and four likely Commons — all in Regular Foil, and not compatible with potions.

For seasoned players, Standard Packs provide a classic Splinterlands experience at 4,000 DEC or $4 in Credits. These packs include five cards with traditional rarity odds and full potion compatibility, ideal for those seeking high-tier cards or Gold Foils.

Beyond the packs, Conclave Arcana debuts three visually stunning foil types: Gold Foil Arcane, Black Foil, and Black Foil Arcane.

These new foils feature unique frames, animations, and collectible mint numbers, with Black Foils standing out as ultra-rare, max-leveled cards that cannot be combined but can substitute Gold Foils in tournaments and brawls.

They offer powerful benefits, including a 20% ranked rewards bonus, reduced cooldowns in Survival Mode, higher DEC burn value, and enhanced contributions in Conflicts.

The Conclave Arcana presale launches on April 22nd and runs through May 11th, giving players an exclusive chance to secure powerful cards and rare rewards before the full set goes live.

During this limited window, players can purchase three types of packs: 500,000 Standard packs priced at 4,000 DEC or Credits each, 100,000 Alchemy packs at 12,000 DEC or Credits, and 50,000 Legendary packs at 24,000 DEC or Credits. Starter Packs will not be available during this phase.

While packs cannot be opened until the general sale begins, they can still be freely traded and transferred throughout the presale. Only 10% of the total supply of each pack type is allocated for this early access, and any remaining unsold packs will be permanently burned, increasing scarcity and long-term value.

Participating in the presale offers significant benefits, including exclusive airdrops of one Rare and one Legendary promo card, eligibility to compete on the Presale Leaderboard for top-tier prizes, and entries into a Presale Raffle with chances to win ultra-rare cards.

All Conclave Arcana packs will be available for opening starting May 13th, marking the beginning of the general sale. At launch, 4.5 million Standard packs, 900,000 Alchemy packs, and 450,000 Legendary packs will be released.

To ensure a healthy market and dynamic pacing, a daily burn mechanism will be in place: if fewer than 15,000 Standard packs, 3,000 Alchemy packs, or 1,500 Legendary packs are sold in a day, 90% of the unsold inventory for that day will be permanently burned.

The remaining 10% will be transferred to the sps.dao account, to be managed under DAO governance. This system ensures that all packs will be either sold or burned within 300 days of the general sale’s launch.

Over time, nine additional cards will be introduced to the Conclave Arcana set through the Conflicts system, originally featured in the Rebellion set.

These new additions include six Legendary archon cards designed by players, infusing the set with community-driven creativity and ongoing gameplay evolution. Vonak … and Vonak again!
