I will tell you about my favourite tinkering titan... Dar Gearnut! Your turn… what’s your Arcana obsession? But wait... before that... have you seen the pirate dog?

Captain Frankie and the crew of the Saltwraith aid Jicarilla the Rime as she scours coastlines and badlands in search of the Secret of Praetoria… conjuring storms and reshaping the land in her relentless pursuit of power.

Frankie, an awakened dog and captain of the Saltwraith, runs his ship with the precision of a taut sail in high wind. He reads waves and stars better than most read maps, trusts rope over rumor, and keeps his crew well supplied with booty after every raid.

As part of the massive Pieces of Eight armada, he took the Conclave Arcana’s coin to help seek Praetoria’s secret, caring far more about payment than mystery. He patrols his holystoned deck with sharp cadence and sharper teeth, holding beaches during exchanges and sending fools who test the rail back into the sea… usually with a new scar.

Murray, his narrow-eyed awakened cat first mate, tempers Frankie’s instincts with discipline and a ledger-driven conscience. He keeps the course straight, the stores honest, and the crew only mildly drunk, always appearing at Frankie’s side when knots slip or stories stretch too far.

Though they clash over charts and shares below deck, they move as one above it, guiding the Saltwraith to found shores, plunder villages, and claim freedom with every tide. For Frankie, salt spray, open sea, and a crew ready to bite when he barks remain the purest form of living.

In battle, the card costs seven mana and bears the Rodentian and Tideborn Bloodline Dominion, granting Inspire to boost allied melee power. Its tactics summon two units with Piercing to punch through armor and Truestrike to ensure every attack lands.

Madness… or genius? The locals couldn’t decide. Some laughed, some cheered, and others just made sure their anvils were firmly bolted down whenever Dar was nearby.

Behind the soot-streaked goggles and the slightly singed beard was a dreamer who refused to live a small life. Because in Dar Gottem’s mind, every piece of junk had potential... and every failure was just a prototype waiting for glory.

Like seriously... who gave this gnome a full legendary toolkit and forgot to upgrade his attack? Twenty health and only three damage? You’ve got to be kidding. When the Heavy Metal ruleset drops, Dar Gottem doesn’t just shine... he blinds the competition.

Heavy Metal means every monster gets +2 Armor. It’s the ultimate test of endurance for a battle where brute force takes a back seat, and the clank of steel decides who stands last.

Most monsters groan under the weight of extra armour but not Dar. His already absurd durability becomes a full-on fortress. With Void cutting down incoming magic damage and Trample letting him roll through opponents.

Dar turns the battlefield into a one-gnome demolition derby. Maybe he doesn’t hit like a hammer... but in a Heavy Metal matches he doesn’t need to! He just keeps rocking while everyone else breaks their blades trying to scratch his gear.

Of course a degen battle this intense had to kick off with a 69 mana cap... because why play it safe when chaos is this fun? Throw in the Heavy Metal and Aim True battle rules, and suddenly every armoured unit on the field is locked, loaded, and practically guaranteed to land their attacks.

No misses, no mercy, just pure calculated carnage as these titans clash in a whirlwind of steel, strategy, and raw degen energy. This was a masterclass in armoured domination.

Today I welcomed Dar Gearnut into the arena, with his insane health! Boosted three of my units with speed and Execute, and the battle kick-off with a loud bang! The Moribund Arrowbait took the bait!

The decoy worked and my enemies were boosted by the Bloodline Tribute. However... my army didn't care much about it! The Ulundin Overseer was the bullseye... and this beefy tank had to be taken down ASAP!

On my side, Dar "Gottem" Gearnut was taking all the damge... showing that even a puny gnome can tank with the right gear! Halfway through the second round and the Ulundin was finally defeated!

Nidhoggr stripped enemies of health and Armor, while Dar “Gottem” Gearnut stomped into the arena for his debut! He soaked up brutal damage, giving my casters the space to dismantle the enemy ranks.

Attacks were scattered across the battlefield, as the rival Mystic Mudbinder was silenced by the strength of my army. Dar Gearnut was a tough nut to crack, but a skinwalker knows all the tricks of the trade!

The vengeance came from the Redwyrm Dragon, with another perfectly timed deadly blow! Victory for Dar's team at he's debut! He soaked massive damage, letting my army focus on priority targets!

Under the Heavy Metal ruleset every monster gained armour, but Dar “Gottem” Gearnut turned that into pure advantage. Dar tanked everything, being shiny, stubborn, and unstoppable !

Strategic buffs and the perfectly timed finishing strike from Redwyrm Dragon sealed the win. My clever use of buffs and debuffs turned chaos into victory. See the full battle here!
