Fanart Contest Week 171: Life Sapper

Heyaaaa!!

Name's @quickdrawchev and I'm back after eons of no entry!
My last entry was the Furious Chicken!
It was my first time coloring an entire illustration and I learned abit more
since then! :D

I actually used it as the splash art and icon for my youtube channel. I'll maybe tag a link at the end. (Shameless plug lolol)

Anyway!

I'm back with a new artwork, getting a bit used to coloring, with this fanart of the awesome Life Sapper requested by @splinterlandshq

Sorry for the colors. I'm still learning how to use photoshop lolol

Here's how it looks like as a card.

But I'll do my best to show my steps!

First thing I did is draw a quick sketch~

TBH, by this time, I don't know how the final version would look yet. But I like the angle, so I went with this.

After the sketch, I proceed with the line art.

Then, I map the base colors. This is the part that I start to struggle lol

I'm not used to figuring out how colors work, yet, so I just took the colors directly from the card.

Okay, here's where I experimented. A LOT. lol
This took me a bit to figure out. Especially the "ghostly" part.

It was a long TAE (Trial and Error) but I think its went decent enough.

And, that's it! lol

I'll do my best to join again next week. and the week after. and the week after that!

Chaos Legion is super awesome! I love the card designs and I have soooo many ideas for my own card design, both art and abilities!
