The Manticore is a great 2nd line card and all its stats have got good values to make it a complete battle fighter.
Let's see in detail the pros and cons:
- flying and reach ability from level 1
- good speed
- cheap mana cost (4)
- good health level
- good price (0.25 $)
- only with a dragon summoner you can play it
- with the reverse speed ruleset becomes slow
The reverse speed ruleset will delay the battle timing of the Manticore but in a exclusively melee battle could still be a match winner!
My opponent:
The stats are pretty similar and also the winning rate is very close: 54% vs 53%, but my opponent has some experience battling in the champion league that I never reach.
My strategy:
With the up close ruleset, normally the fire magic element is most used one, so I assume will be also my opponent choice. With the Molten Ogre I will reduce my opponent melee attack and with 2 cards with the opportunity ablity I expect a smart killing of the weak cards.
My lineup:
With Daria Dragonscale I will get a +1 melee attack and I can use all the dragon's cards
The Living Lava with speed 1 will be one of the 1st to join the battle proteced by the shield ability
The Manticore with a value of 3 melee attack can be a really heavy presence from the 2nd line
The Kobold Miner is maybe the card with the best value: low mana cost and high sneak attack
The Serpentine Spy will come to battle when spotting a weakness to hit it to death
The Parasitic Growth is like a cold shadow but before you notice it it's too late
The Molten Ogre it's the man for high mana cap battle with melee attack to weaken
The battle:
So my guess for a fire battle was right and my Molten Ogre is demoralizing my opponent attack greatly
My opponent already lost 2 warriors while mine are fresh like at the beginning
Half of the enemy team is gone with the wind mine seems quite relaxed
One against six, it looks unfair but at war everything is permitted

La Manticora è un'ottima carta di secona linea e le sue statistiche hanno buoni valori che ne fanno un combattente completo.
Vediamo in dettaglio i pro e contro:
- abilità volo e reach subito dal livello 1
- buona velocità
- costo mana ridotto (4)
- buon livello di vita
- buon prezzo (0.25 $)
- bisogna possedere summoner dragon per utilizzarla
- lenta con regola d'ingaggio reverse speed
La reverse speed posticiperà l'ingresso in battaglia della Manticora ma in una battaglia riservata all'attacco melee può ancora rivelarsi come la miglior carta della partita!
Il mio avversario:
Le statistiche sono molto simili come pure le percentuali di vittoria 54% vs 53%, ma il mio avversario ha già sperimentato la lega champion che non ho mai raggiunto.
My strategy:
Con la regola d'ingaggio up close, la scelta più ovvia ricade sull'elemento magico del fuoco, che quindi presumo anche il mio avversario sceglierà. Utilizzando Molten Ogre ridurrò l'attacco melee del mio avversario e con 2 carte con l'abilità opportunity mi aspetto un'uccisione selettiva ed intelligente dei nemici più deboli.

La Manticora con valore d'attacco melee a forza 3 può essere veramente una spina nel fianco dalla 2a linea
Kobold Miner è forse la carta con il migliore rapporto di qualità: basso costo mana e alto attacco sneak
Serpentine Spy parteciperà alla battaglia non appena avrà adocchiato il punto debole da colpire a morte
Parasitic Growth è come una fredda ombra di cui quanto ti accorgi è ormai troppo tardi
Molten Ogre è l'uomo giusto per le battaglia con mana alto e attacco melee da indebolire
The battle:
Quindi la mia intuizione per una battaglia con elemento fuoco era corretta ed il mio Molten Ogre demoralizzerà l'attacco del mio avversario alla grande
Il mio avversario ha già perso 2 guerrieri mente i miei sono freschi come all'inizio
Metà della squadra avversaria è dispersa nel vento, la mia sembra alquanto rilassata
Uno contro sei, sembra scorretto ma in guerra tutto è lecito

I would not say the dragon summoner requirement is much of a drawback. Dragon summoner give you access to all element. The only summoner I have levelled up is a dragon summoner as it is cheaper than levelling up all my summoner.
yes is true what you say, but a summoner dragon doesn't come in a starter pack like the other summoners so in a way is an extra that you need to consider in your budget, thanks for your comment
