Born Again. It's a tricky new rule!

I dared to keep the eye-catcher very simple this time because I thought too much modification would not enhance the surrealism of the material.

I searched for "Born Again" and this came up. It is probably a Korean drama or something. I have never seen it, so I have no idea what it is about.

I would like to share my thoughts with you about the Born Again rule that is currently causing confusion around the world.

今回のアイキャッチは手を加えすぎると素材のシュールさが引き立たないと思ってあえてとてもシンプルなものにしてみた。

Born Againと検索したらこれが出てきたんだ。おそらく韓国のドラマか何かだろう。ぼくは見たことがないのでどんな内容かはまったくわからない。

今世界中を混乱の渦に陥れているBorn Againルールについてみなさんと一緒に考えていきたい。

In this article, we will discuss abilities that are compatible with each other without being too league-specific.
When I was thinking about it, I realized that there are a ridiculous number of abilities that go well with BORN AGAIN, so everyone should be prepared to read this.

The first thing that comes to everyone's mind is the strategy of activating Martyr twice to increase all abilities of adjacent monsters by two levels. This is very powerful and should be actively targeted and countered.

Another strategy would be to use Scattershot to block the opponent's guidance, but this should be a last resort if you can't think of any other countermeasures against Martyr.

Scavenger and Bloodlust are also recommended since the number of monsters is practically doubled.

今回はあまりリーグにこだわらず、相性のいいアビリティについて考察していく。考えていたらとんでもなく多いことに気づいたのでみんな覚悟して読んでほしい。

まずみんな最初に思いつくのはMartyrを2回発動させ、全能力を2段階アップさせる戦略だろう。これは非常に強力なので積極的に狙いたいし、対策したい。

今のところちゃんとした対策はDispelを持ったモンスターをチームに加えることだ。

Scattershotで相手の誘導を阻害するのも対策の一つだが、これはMartyrに対する他の対策が何も思いつかなかった時の最終手段にしよう。

また、モンスターの数が実質2倍になるルールなのでScavengerと Bloodlustもおすすめだ。Dispelはこれらの対策にもなりうる。

Recovery abilities also work well with BORN AGAIN.
Because they always come back to life with their strength reduced to 1, there are many opportunities to activate recovery, making it easy for them to work effectively. Another good point is that it is easy to become a long-term battle.

Also, even if the opponent succeeds in playing Affliction once, they will have to trigger it again when they comes back to life. It is hard to counter and hard to be defeated, so it would be reassuring to add one with recovery to the team.

When the player is resurrected, other elements besides the 1 life are also resurrected to help with durability.
They are Shield and Divine Shield.

Void Armor, which gives magic protection to an ordinary shield, will be very effective since it can withstand more than once after being resurrected.

A combo of Piercing and Trample can be considered as a countermeasure, but the risk of countermeasure is higher in many cases.

And it is not a countermeasure against monsters with Divine Shield.
So, if you want to counter the Shield strategy, Cripple is recommended. Cripple will surely reduce the opponent's life, and heal is more reliable than Affliction, although it takes time to counter the heal.

Even if the shield obtained by Protect is destroyed, if the monster with Protect is revived, the shield will be restored for all of them.

If this is done well, you can gain a considerable advantage, so it is recommended.

回復系のアビリティも相性がいい。
なぜなら必ず体力が1になって生き返るので、回復の発動機会が多く、有効に働きやすい。長期戦になりやすいのも相性がいいポイントの一つだ。

あと相手は1度Afflictionを成功させても生き返ったらまた発動させなくてはいけなくなる。対策しにくいし、されにくいので1体は回復持ちをチームに加えると心強いだろう。

復活した時、ライフ1以外にも耐久に役立つ要素が復活する。
それが盾とDivine Shieldだ。

普通の盾に魔法も防ぐ効果を付与するVoid Armorがあれば復活後、1回以上耐えることができるのでかなり有効だろう。

対策としてPiercingとTrampleのコンボが考えられるが、対策するリスクのほうが高い場合が多い。

Divine Shieldを持っているモンスターに対しては対策にならない。
そこでもし盾作戦を対策したい場合は、Crippleがおすすめだ。確実に相手のライフを削るし、ヒールの対策も時間はかかるがAfflictionより確実な方法だ。

またProtectで得た盾が破壊されても、Protectを持ったモンスターが復活されればまた全員分シールドも復活する。

これがうまく決まれば相当アドバンテージを取れるのでおすすめだ。

The most important factor in this rule, in my opinion, is speed, because if your monster is defeated before it attacks, it cannot attack that turn even if it is revived.

If your monster is killed before it can attack, even if it is revived, it cannot attack that turn.

In other words, it is like eating a Stun. Moreover, even if the monster that attacked first is defeated, it can still act the next turn, so only the slowest monsters can be Stunned.

In this rule, you want to kill the monsters before your opponent does and make them unable to act to gain an advantage in the game.

So in my case, Swiftness and Slow are also good abilities to use with Born Again.

Enrage is also a great ability that greatly increases speed. Moreover, the monster has 1 life after being resurrected, so it can maintain its powered-up state for a long time.

Opportunity is also effective in terms of defeating them first, but this is a case-by-case basis; Opportunity might trigger Martyr.

If there is a monster you really don't want to be limited in your actions, you may want to use Taunt or Camouflage. Either way, Opportunity is incidentally counteracted, so it is not much of a threat under these rules.

Instead, it is better to use Fury or Scattershot to destroy the opponent's strategy and feel good when you succeed.

ぼくがこのルールにおいて一番大事だと思っている要素はスピードだ。

なぜなら自分のモンスターが攻撃する前に倒されると、復活したとしてもそのターンは攻撃できないから。

つまり、実質Stunを食らうようなもの。しかも先に攻撃したモンスターは仮に倒されても次のターン行動できるので、遅いモンスターしか食らわないStunだ。

このルールではなんとしても相手より先にモンスターを倒し、どんどん行動不能にして試合を有利に進めたい。

だからぼくの場合、 SwiftnessとSlowもborn againと相性のいいアビリティだと思うんだ。

Enrageもスピードを大幅に上げる能力なのですばらしい。しかも、復活後のモンスターはライフが1なのでパワーアップ状態を長く維持できる。

先に倒すという意味ではOpportunityも有効だが、これはケースバイケース。OpportunityはMartyrのトリガーになってしまうかもしれない。

どうしても行動を制限されたくないモンスターがいる場合はTauntやCamouflageを使うのがいいだろう。どちらにせよOpportunityはついでに対策されてしまうので、このルールではさほど脅威にならない。

それより、FuryやScattershotで相手の戦略を破壊しにいくほうが成功した時気持ちがいい。

Although rarely seen in Bronze and Silver, the strategy of repeatedly dealing damage with Redemption is very effective in low mana matches.
It is a tricky strategy that is difficult to counter at low mana.

Since everyone is resurrected once, this rule increases the overall number of attack attempts.
This means that the expected value of evasion abilities such as Dodge, Blind, etc. will increase.
In a match where kitty is unlikely to be used, this is a good thing to keep in mind.

These abilities will also give you a chance to get a shot in the arm against opponents with a large amount of card assets.

I have a special tip for those of you who have read all the way to the end.
Do you know why I included Last Stand in the above picture?





Because this rule definitely allows you to trigger Last Stand twice.

When you have two monsters on your team, one of them will be killed by the enemy. Then, there is a chance for Last Stand to be triggered. The other monster is then resurrected, so there are two monsters on the field: the monster that triggered Last Stand plus the resurrected monster.

ブロンズとシルバーではほとんど見ることはないが、Redemptionで何度もダメージを与える作戦は低マナの試合において非常に有効だ。
低マナだと対策も難しい厄介な戦法である。

全員が1度復活するのでこのルールでは全体の攻撃試行回数が増える。
つまり、 Dodge、Blindなどの回避系アビリティの期待値が上がると言える。
キティが使用される可能性が低い対戦ではこのことを頭に入れておいて損はないだろう。

これらのアビリティはカードアセット量が多い相手にも一矢報いる下剋上チャンスになる。

このルールでは間違いなくLast Standを2回発動させることができるからだ。

自チームにモンスター2体いる状態から1体やられる。そこでLast Standが発動する機会が生まれる。その後もう1体が復活するので、ラストスタンドが発動したモンスター+復活したモンスターの2体が場に出ている状態になるんだ。
