Have you ever thought to play a game which can bring you the income? at least, I do.

Splinterlands definitely is one of them.

After 3 months playing and investing in splinterlands, I found very few articles talk about what you can get when you up the league for your investment.

therefore, I want to show to the new players or the exiting players what i'm getting for the daily quest rewards as well as the seasonal rewards at Gold II.

What are those leagues and its requirement and gain?

There are a lot of leagues there from Novice to Bronze, Silver, Gold, diamond and champion which you can see each of their requirement and gain. Gold II is where I'm playing.

What is my investment looks like?

In order to give you a complete view on investment vs. what you will get at Gold II. Im also showing what I invested in this game. Below picture is part of the money that i put into this account, the actual one is > $3000.

The main goal of this investment is trying to purchase the cards so that I dont need to rent the card from market and sufficient to play the game, get the rewards at Gold II.. Therefore, this money spent was not skew to purchase cheap CP side and rent fighting card for higher league. (remark: different people have different investment strategy. mine one is more on the conservatives side. If you want to max your investment gain, you can invest all on CP in order to go into higher league, but for those fighting card, most likely you need to rent from market.)

What can you get in theory for Gold II league?

Let me start with Gold 2 league where im mainly playin. The theoretical reward drop rate at Gold II is something in below table:

A lot of people will look at this table and calculate their potential gain for their investment. so do I. When I joined the game 3 months ago, every time before I put more money in and I will calculate base on this table whether it's worth to purchase the card in order to get next level's rewards.

But how this table could work as the guild line for your investment in reality?

Here's what I got from 5 days daily quest rewards in Gold II in order to have a fair statistical view for your consideration:

Note: all calculation are based on
- 1k DEC = $1.67
- Portions are excluded from the calculation

Day #1: Card value: $0.194(117DEC); DEC reward: 4+10+9+109= 132 DEC.
Total Actual Value: 249 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
image.png

Day#2 daily reward:
Card value: $0.046 (27.6 DEC); DEC reward: 23, Portion: 4(Excluded for sum).
Total Actual Value: 50.6 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
image.png

Day#3 daily reward:
Card value: $0.507 (303.6 DEC); DEC reward: 24, Portion: 1(Excluded for sum).
Total Actual Value: 327.6 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
image.png

Day#4 daily reward:
Card value: $0.229 (137.2 DEC); DEC reward: 24,
Total Actual Value: 161.2 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
image.png

Day#5 daily reward:
Card value: $0.117 (70 DEC); DEC reward: 32,
Total Actual Value: 102 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
image.png

After, here's the seasonal rewards:
Card value: $0.463 (277 DEC); DEC reward: 65; 6 portions (excluded)
Total Actual Value: 342 DEC VS. Theoritical 1919 DEC

**As the conclusion: **

In order for you to have a complete view, Let me put together those rewards (daily and seasonal) together before we can draw some conclusion on it for your own decision. (remark: this is not a financial suggestion. Only target to show the real data for your consideration.)

Daily reward #1: Total Actual Value 249 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
Daily reward #2: Total Actual Value: 50.6 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
Daily reward #3: Total Actual Value: 327.6 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
Daily reward #4: Total Actual Value: 161.2 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC
Daily reward #5: Total Actual Value: 102 DEC VS. Theoritical 517 DEC

Seasonal reward: Total Actual Value: 342 DEC VS. Theoritical 1919 DEC

**From this consolidated data, what we can see is the table showed for the chest value of each league, but mostly what we can get from playing is around 10% - 60% of those values. **

For the new players, (as least when i just started 3 months ago) it's very easy to speculate that we can get what is shown in the table. and heavily use these numbers to judge whether to rent or invest money to up the league.
From the real world reward in Gold II above. What we will get is significantly lower value than what is shown on the table. Roughly 10%-60% is pretty much what we get.

Hope this information is helpful for you to minimize the misunderstanding and speculation for you decide to invest in SplinterLands.

What is going to come on reward revamp?

With the recent planned change which is targeted to go live on early May(TBD), it mentioned a major change will be made over the reward system. hope the situation will be improved.
Here's what it will look like:

Ranked Rewards (TownHall on 19th Apr.):

  • Bots, farming rewards, multi-accounts, etc.. are ultimately underlying issues with the economy/mechanics of the system
  • Real issue comes down to the starter/ghost cards
  • Solution is to still allow starter cards, but each starter card used will reduce earnings
  • Once Ranked Rewards are live, every battle will give reward shares (depending on your rating)
  • Bonuses like guild bonus, winstreak, Gold Foil & Alpha/Beta, etc.. will increase reward shares
  • Reward shares determine the amount of DEC you earn and also accumulate to earn daily/season reward chests
  • Starter cards used will reduce your reward shares
  • Takeaway: If we can fix the underlying issues, it will increase the rewards for all leagues and be managed by the free market system
  • If rewards are high and rentals are low, then rentals will increase
  • If card prices go up, rewards value will go up
  • Team is planning on heavily increase rewards across all tiers/leagues
  • Higher leagues will have much higher rewards
  • Champion will have a higher chance to get Gold foil Legendaries for example
  • Optimal way to earn rewards will be to play every day on a single account (~30 battles/day)

Remark: the initial post was Initial post. This Post is a reversion by adding more information to form a complete view on what you will invest and what you will get as return in current reward system.

I appreciate your content quality. Not a lot of people put the time and effort into their blogs. Thank you.

Thx. I felt there is no such article to give the new player a view of higher league's gain like what . So that's nk it prob will help for new players. Hope you also feel it's useful.

Excellent post particularly for those new to the game. It's also worth mentioning Guilds which offer further rewards simply by joining one. My guild for example offers shop discounts and extra DEC rewards for winning battles.

I do have one on the things you can get in the guild. I will edit it to add more inside. Or you can check from my previous post.
