Deprecation of Splinterlands Mobile App

To provide our community with the best possible gaming experience, the Splinterlands Team is 100% focused on creating a mobile-friendly website that allows access to all of the game's features. Subsequently, we will be deprecating our mobile app; as of April 2, 2024, it will be unavailable in app stores. Instead, we highly encourage players to use their mobile browsers to play Splinterlands.

Splinterlands Is Better on the Mobile Website

The mobile website offers full access to ranked play, brawls, land, conflicts, tournaments, card markets and other shops, and everything everything else you can do on your browser—many of which were unavailable or had limited functionality on the mobile app.

To continue enjoying Splinterlands on your mobile device, follow these steps:

  • Open your preferred mobile web browser and navigate to splinterlands.com.
  • Don't click the PLAY NOW button. Instead, tap the hamburger menu in the top-right corner of the screen (if you're in landscape mode, click LOG IN).
  • Enter your email or username and password or private posting key.
  • Click LOG IN.

You're in! Now, you can access all of the game's features, just like you're logged in from your desktop. Make sure you're playing in landscape mode for the best experience.

Hive Keychain

You can enjoy an even wider range of features by using Hive Keychain and its built-in browser! To set it up:

  • Install Hive Keychain via your device's App Store.
  • Open Hive Keychain and select Existing Account.
  • Create a six-digit pin.
  • Sign in using either your Private Posting Key or Private Active Key.
  • After you've signed in, click the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen and select BROWSER.
  • Type https://next.splinterlands.com into the search bar and hit enter.
  • Enter your username, sign into the Splinterlands website, and start battling!

Return of the App?

Once we've implemented the core components of the New Player Experience and upgraded other website functionality, we'll return our attention to the app—most likely creating a website-wrapped version accessible in an app store near you. Stay tuned!

Support and Feedback

If you encounter any issues or have feedback about your mobile web experience, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to provide the best gaming experience for our community. Thanks for being a part of Splinterlands!

The big problem with the way the game works on the mobile browser is that you can't switch monsters' positions. You have to remove the monsters and add them again. This is very time-consuming and frustrating. Big mistake getting rid of it while not having a decent alternative.

I tried holding and dragging the monster and it switches pos. Im used to double clicking it in the app to switch pos. Guess ill just need to get used to it the way things are.

For me it doesn't work.

Making it even harder for players looking for something casual. You have to remember that not every Splinterlands player tends to follow your blogs. From personal experience, I've been investing for a while, but it's only this year that I've become somewhat active on the platform.
Think about it.

Hell... It's about time!

awww hopefully app comes back.

What you are calling a "mobile website" is largely not. It's a desktop site being accessed through a mobile browser. (m.splinterlands.io is a mobile website). I have begun to put some of the reasons why splinterlands.com doesn't quite fit the bill of a mobile site in the ux channel in the discord. I encourage other mobile users to do the same.

Eu uso o navegador Kiwi no smartphone com extensão keychain hive.
Nesse navegador Kiwi dá para instalar extensões de carteiras como o chaveiro Hive e a Metamask.

The App stores are hostile. There's o reason to be in them anymore. As I've found with @v4vapp a modern PWA can do everything I need.

Getting used PWAs has the added perk of being more privacy friendly at the same time. The permissions some apps ask are inexcusable!

Great point. I think the only question my app asks is when you want to use the camera, you need to let it use the camera.
