There are now about 120k packs left until the next 1M Chaos Legion booster packs are sold so it's time to reveal the next airdrop! This next airdrop will be the fifth Legendary Summoner card designed by players who purchased the most Chaos Legion booster packs in the pre-sale last year.
The fifth Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner airdrop card will be the Death element Summoner - Astral Entity! The character was designed by @cryptoreaper and will be the 13th Chaos Legion card to be airdropped to early pack purchasers!
Please keep in mind that 25k Chaos Legion packs are burned every day as a result of the recent SPS governance proposal, so packs eligible for this airdrop are guaranteed to sell out within the next week!
Astral Entity will be the 28th Legendary card to be available in Chaos Legion edition booster packs, and each pack purchased up until the 13M mark will have a 0.154% chance of receiving the card, which means that 1 in every 650 packs will receive the card on average.
Additionally, players will be GUARANTEED to receive one Astral Entity card for every 650 Chaos Legion packs purchased. Finally, each airdropped card received will have a 4% (or 1 out of 25) chance of being a Gold Foil version of the card.

The new Chaos Legion Death Legendary Summoner - Astral Entity - has a little bit of everything. On the offensive side it reduces the Armor of all enemy characters. On the defensive side it gives all friendly characters the ability to Dodge Melee and Ranged attacks, and on the support side it Resurrects a friendly character, bringing it back to life with 1 Health.
As with all of the Legendary Summoners, we expect Astral Entity to add some interesting new play styles to the Death element and we look forward to seeing what players can do with the new card!

At the time of writing there are around 120k Chaos Legion booster packs available for purchase that will be eligible for the Astral Entity airdrop. Of course, all Chaos Legion booster packs purchased to date are also eligible, and after the airdrop the card will be available to be found in all packs opened going forward.
These packs will also be eligible for the final Chaos Legion Legendary Summoner card airdrop that will happen once the next 1M packs are sold.
We should also mention that since Chaos Legion packs can be purchased for a fixed amount of 4,000 DEC tokens, players have an opportunity to pick up these packs and grab some extra Astral Entity cards at a significant discount to the listed $4 USD price point by purchasing DEC from various third-party markets! Astral Entity Lore
From the shadows and the ether comes an eldritch entity known only as the Astral Entity. It is a celestial being that drifts through rifts in reality, searching for new planes and realms. There are almost no recordings of the Astral Entity in the athenaeums of the Splinterlands, but if one was to search through forgotten scrolls in the cobwebbed corners of ancient libraries, they would find the briefest mentions of this being. Snippets from across the centuries mention a humanoid shape made of cosmic energy. No one knows where it came from or what it wants, but it has only been recorded doing one thing: observing.
In spite of this, death always seems to follow the Astral Entity’s arrival. Clans and nations go to war. Crops wither, livestock become ill or infertile, and famine ravages the land. Droughts, plagues of locusts, and violent storms bring empires to their knees. And when it’s over, the Astral Entity vanishes without a trace.
When the Chaos Legion invaded the Splinterlands, the rift they opened echoed across realities. This drew the attention of the Astral Entity. It was able to slip through the rift undetected and explore this new world.
It witnessed a world rich in mana, with diverse people and dramatic landscapes. It also witnessed a world crushed by the grip of the powerful Chaos Legion and their leader, Silus of the Rift. The Astral Entity observed the battles, the people suffering, and all the death, but it did nothing to intervene. What it did do was learn. It learned the strengths and weaknesses of not only the Splinterlands, but of the Chaos Legion, as well.
The time may come when the Astral Entity chooses a side. Whatever choice it makes will be purely for its own gain and based on all it has learned from its eons of passing through the rifts.

That's a great card for Battles with the Lost Magic Rule (where Monsters with Magic Attack cannot be used), because the Armor Reduction on opponent Monsters helps your Melee and Ranged Monsters defeat the opponent's Monsters more easily, and the Dodge Ability provided to each of your Monsters makes your team very resilient against physical attacks. 🤓 The Resurrection Ability also restores all the Armor of the Monster that is Resurrected in your team. 😏 !PIZZA !LOLZ

I still find the Death Splinter Monsters generally having low Health and Speed and high Mana Requirements, though they often make up for that by having high Damage and more Abilities. 🤓 !PGM
They can be quite deadly to take down.. especially with their magic shield on so many monsters. Its a good job that Grund can eat through them! !PGM

They always release airdrops when devs are fully available and on standby in case something goes not quite according to plan and needs on the fly fixing
