Splinterlands: 4 Ways a Beginner can earn!

splinterlands-standard.png

If you haven't gotten started with the play-to-earn blockchain game Splinterlands yet, I highly suggest you do so. It's very addicting, especially as a player of Magic the Gathering and Pokémon and other collectible trading/battling card games in younger days.

It can also be quite profitable, especially as you rise in ranks and leagues. Below you'll find four ways a complete beginner as you and I can start to earn from day one in Splinterlands!

1st Way: Ranked Battles

One on the best ways to earn is to compete in and win Ranked Battles. In these battles you'll build a deck and pit it against another player's deck. The winner increases their Raiting, this enables them to rise to higher Leagues where rewards are better, and you also earn DEC, or Dark Energy Crystals. These are a tradable cryptocurrency token which have an actual market value. Collecting DEC is collecting cash, basically. Neat!

2nd Way: Daily Quest

The second way is to complete your Daily Quest. You can see the button right next to the Ranked Battles. This is a daily quest whereupon completion you'll earn a Loot Chest. In this chest you'll find a random reward. These can be increbily good, or incredibly mediocre. Most likely you'll find som free Credits, which can be used to buy assets such as new Cards. You'll also find free DEC in these chests. You can get Potions, used when opening Card Packs to increase your chace of getting better cards. And last but not least, you can get a new Card absolutely for free!

All these cards have market values and they are all NFTs, so they are unique and limited. If you're very lucky, you can randomly get a card worth hundreds of dollars on the trade market. As can be seen in the above picture, in 32 minutes I can head out on the next Daily Quest. I can't wait!

3rd Way: Tournaments

Once you get the hang of the game a bit, I'll suggest you enter a few beginner Tournaments. Once you've learnt how to build a few good decks and to counter a few other common decks, you can really shine in these low-level tournaments, and you'll get paid too! You don't have to place first to earn, but the higher you place, the more you earn.

splinterlands-airdrop.png

4th Way: Airdrop!

This fourth way is absolutely fantastic, and it can require basically no effort to a lot of effort, depending on how much you want to earn. Splinterlands is doing a daily airdrop in which you'll receive SPS, or Splintershards. These too are a tradable cryptocurrency token which have an actual market value, and it's on the rise! This airdrop will last one full year from the start, and there are around 290 days left of the airdrop. It has basically just begun!

The airdrop bases your rewards on several factors, but holding a lot of DEC and having building a bigger card collection are two ways that are quite accessible to beginners. Growing your collection will take time, but keep doing Daily Quests, and maybe buy a few cheap cards that you feel will benefit your gameplay, and you're off to a great start.

In my short experience so far, Splinterlands is a game in which the more you play, the more you get. That is true from beginners to pro players!

As you can see by the images, I'm very much a complete beginner too, so come join me and build your card collection and your wealth. Go get out there and grind!
