The card we will be discussing today is Cruel Sethropod.
Sailors tell many tales of the dangers of the Cruel Sethropods. Armed with strong pincers and teeth as sharp as spears, they attack anything that gets within range. It is nearly impossible to remove a Cruel Sethropod once it has latched on, and many a sailor has the scars to show where they ventured too close.
We would rate this card based on:
- Cost to buy/rent this card. How affordable and accessible is the card.
- Card Stats. How balanced the card is based on its role.
- Card Effect. How useful is its effect based on the role of the card.
- Strengths and Weaknesses. If the card can counter other cards and/or be countered easily by others or not.
- Positioning. Adaptability of where the card can be placed.
- Compatibility. How useful it is on its current element.

Rental/Buy Cost || 
Below is the rental of the card at the time of this writing.
Cruel Sethropod's rent is so low that you can rent a level 2 for 0.10 DEC. That's as low as a non foil level 1 epic card even if Cruel Sethropod's a common monster. If you're planning a water team, considering renting higher level Cruel Sethropod as the rental right now is pretty affordable.
Below is the buy cost of the card at the time of this writing.
The current purchase price of this card is really low that it doesn't even cost $0.05. It's probably more efficient to buy multiple copies of this card and combining it to form a higher leveled Sethropod rather than renting one. Normally, it's more efficient to rent but with this low of a price, I would rather suggest buying some rather than renting.

It would be weird that I consider this card's stats as high. With 3 mana cost, 3 armor and 4 health, this card is actually a beast of a tank. The 3 mana allows you to get better damage dealers on the back row or even a second tank to support Cruel Sethropod in case he fails doing his job.

Positioning:
The best position for this card is in the front as main tank or at the back for sneak blocks. In this game, I went and used him in the front as my main tank.
ROUND 1:
By end of Round 1, Failed Summoner died leaving Unicorn Mustang alone in the battle.
ROUND 2:
By end of Round 2, Cruel Sethropod armor got destroyed by Unicorn Mustang. No deaths happened in this round.
ROUND 3:
By end of Round 3, Cruel Sethropod dies. Unicorn Mustang's speed is becoming problematic as Deeplurker misses an attack.
ROUND 4:
By end of Round 4, both Unicorn Mustang and Deeplurker exchanged blows taking damage in the process but nothing lethal yet.
ROUND 5:
Game ended by round 5 when Deeplurker attacks first killing Unicorn Mustang in the process.
Compatibility ||
The best combo with this card for me is with monsters with Repair, Protect and Strength abilities. Repair heals armor per turn. Protect gives additional 2 armor to each unit while Strength provides additional 1 max health to your allies. The reason repair is better than tank heal in this position is that heal scales off max health. With low health, your heals most likely get 2 per turn. Repair does the same but armor absorbs excess melee and range damage. If your armor is 1 and the damage is 4, only armor would be damaged and would not pass through health. With repair, you have another 2 armor next turn to block any damage.

Final Thoughts
With all the evidences that we gathered, we could say that Cruel Sethropod is a good defense card. It's not the best as it doesn't have any abilities. However, his lack of abilities is countered by his high tanking ability in the sense of raw physical power. His total of 7 defense is very efficient if you take account his very low 3 mana cost.

|| Cruel Sethropod's strengths lies on 2 basic things, his defense, meaning armor and health and his low mana cost. Being a tank, health and armor is the most required. High health and armor allows the tank to survive more. Low mana cost allows you to have more powerful allies in the board. || Cruel Sethropod's weakness lies in him being ability-less. Without Shield or Void abilities, he can only rely in his raw defense, the health and armor. However, having no ability is a big disadvantage.
