Hi everyone! Pogier here with Brawl Report #16! For some reason, there are way less fights this time around. I'm still new to the brawl scene but it seems like all the guilds present didn't have complete fraysLet's get started!
Overall Guild Performance: 2nd Place
We took 2nd place with 52 wins, 44 losses, and 0 draws. For our effort, we got 58 crowns with each participating member winning 2900 merits.
Captain's Bounty
The bounty this time is a double bounty! Our targets for this round are Knights United and The Guild of Neoxian. Hopefully we achieve our bounties and get some bubblegum money!
Viking Performance!
Like the Vikings of old, we must honor the warriors that secured the most victories! Let's all congratulate @mightypanda, @UrchinTrader, and @LostinTime for smashing through their foes! Urchintrader deserves an even greater round of applause for a complete sweep once again!
Personal Brawl Results:
In this brawl, my score was 1 wins and 3 losses. I was assigned to Gold Level Untamed/Dice. The matches were once again awkward for me, but I did learn something from them. Let's check them out!
Battle Replays
Battle #1: Lose
I should've rented Oster here because the low mana cap proved to be a burden on my end. I should also have placed a better secondary tank and put my Whistling Damon at the backline. I eventually lost this match.
Battle #2: Lose
The moment I saw the Mylor, I knew I would lose. The amount of damage I can unleash was way too low and everyone's HP was way higher than normal. This was another learning moment where I realized that I should opt to stay away from an all melee team.
Battle #3:
This was a weird match for me. I was hoping for a water splinter for these kinds of matches but I was denied this. I had a strong gladius card I wanted to try for these kinds of matches but I guess it wasn't their time to shine. I was instantly destroyed here. I didn't even manage to kill a single one of my enemies!
Battle #4: Win by Opponent Fled
Guildmate's Bounty Matches
@shallwish's match!
The Antoid Platoon is one of the underrated tanks in the game and I'm glad Shallwish showed its strength! The backline was swiftly decimated by the sneak attacks and it was a 5v1 by the end. This was a fast match with a winner quickly proclaimed.
@monster-inc's match!
In a no melee match, Monster went with a pretty smart summoner. By bringing in a -1 ranged damage, they were able to decrease the damage of one of 2 possible damage types. This allowed them to quickly decimate their enemies by overpowering them with the higher damage output.
@urchintrader's match!
Never underestimate the power of blast. Urchin brought in 2 really tanky units that did a lot of damage. The taunt didn't really do much as the blast was able to destroy the backline with ease.
@urchintrader's match!
Once again yodin's op-ness is at full display! The power of blast coupled with 2 solid first and second positions allowed the backline enough buffer room to destroy the enemy.
@jordy007's match!
The magic damage of jordy's team was truly overwhelming! The scattershot and snipe also swiftly destroyed the backline really easily so this was an easy win!
@no2's match!
At first I thought no2 would lose, but his gladius card went on a roll! After quickly destroying the weakest of the foes due to the opportunity attack, it was too difficult to destroy the gladius card with all the bloodlust.
@rosa35's match!
Never underestimate the power of evasion! Rosa's tank made it incredibly difficult for the enemy to get any good hits in. This allowed Isgald Vorst to destroy the enemy's back line singlehandedly!
@papadoge's match!
Papadoge is showing us the reason why Llama + Kron is an OP strategy. The enemy had no sustain and the damage output was not enough to defeat a Kron on a last stand. This was a sure win the moment last stand came out.
@bp9930's match!
It may have been fire vs fire here, but BP's team showed the reason why he's our boss! He had 3 units to take the enemy from the back, and allowed Doctor Blight to deal with the main tanks via poison. It was a fun fight as BP's team swiftly destroyed the backline and the front at almost the same rate! The Lord Arianthus was also a really solid tank that prevented the enemy from taking advantage of the Melee Mayhem game mode!
Guildmate Brawl Highlights
@papadoge's match: Full Frontal Failed!
Papadoge may have lost this fight, but this is a great reminder of a multi approach attack strategy. Cryptomancer brought in a solid tank that prevented too much damage from hitting him, which allowed them to take the advantage.
@bp9930's match!
The Return Fire was an incredibly OP ability this time around. The blind didn't work I think. I don't remember seeing any misses. In any case, this was a fun match but the damage output on BP's side sealed the deal. The Deeplurker also did a lot of work here by destroying those that were low in HP, picking them off one by one. It was surprising to not see any gladius cards on the enemy's side.
Lessons Learned:
I should consider building decks that focus less on melee damage because I tend to get owned by Mylor decks. I've got a lot to learn as well with the low mana fights, but I'm improving every day! I can't wait to use some of the new cards I just got from the gladius packs as well!
Bonus: 2 Gladius Packs!
Marisol Contuma and Captain Katie are new! I now have more options in my life deck! AWESOME!
