Manchester city football club relegated in the premier league 95/96 season, only to get relegated again same year they reappeared in 2000/2001 season.

It is no news today that Manchester City is one of the elite clubs in the world ranking number 2 just behind champions league holders Real Madrid.

Manchester City has not been a top football until the resurgence in 2008 when the club was taken over by the Abu Dhabi oil billionaires. Before then, the last principal trophy the club had was 35 years when Mancini took up the managerial role at Manchester City football club.

In the summer transfer window, the club, one of the richest in the world spent £126 million on players, consisting of Jerome Boateng, Yaya Toure, David Silva, Aleksandar Kolarov, Mario Balotelli and James Milner from Aston Villa.
Manchester City ended their 35-year trophy drought by beating Stoke 1-0 in the FA Cup Final at Wembley, courtesy of a Yaya Toure goal in the 74th minute.
Then, they went on to win the 2011/2012 premier league for the first time because 1968 with a critical must-win game on the last game of the season against Queens Park Rangers FC
Manchester City won the English top tier title for the third time in history and the first time in 44 years by beating Queens Park Rangers 3-2 on the final day of the season, coming back from 2-1 with two stoppage-time goals and the last one coming from the club legend, Sergio Kun Aguero who later mentioned that it was the best moment of his life.
It is also the first Premier League title to be determined on goal difference with Manchester rivals Manchester United, who had dominated English soccer for countless years, in second place.

Sergio Aguero, who has his statue at the Etihad stadium to mark the first Manchester city premier league title, signed for Manchester City in 2011 in a transfer for a reported fee of £35 million. During his 10 years at the club, he won five league titles, remembered ultimately for scoring a last minute winner in the closing league game of his debut season to win the club its first league title in 44 years. Further honours with the membership include a report six EFL Cups and an FA Cup; he was also part of the club's first UEFA Champions League final. Agüero won a Premier League Golden Boot and was twice included in the PFA Team of the Year. He is the fifth all-time Premier League goalscorer and the very best non-English scorer in the competition, with 184 goals. He held the record for the most Premier League dreams scored by way of a player for any single club till it was once overtaken via Harry Kane in 2022.

The departure of Roberto Mancini from Manchester City polarised opinion like few managerial sackings in history.
The followers were devastated, but he was disliked by many at City especially the backroom workforce.

On 14 June 2013, Manuel Pellegrini was appointed manager of Manchester City, and won the Football League Cup and Premier League in his first season as manager, The title winning season was known for its goal scoring prowess with Manchester City scoring 151 goals in all competitions – an English soccer record.
Pellegrini also managed to take Manchester City to their first ever semi-final in Champions League in 2015–16, which used to be his ultimate season after finishing in fourth-place with 66 points.

1st of February 2016, Manchester City signed Pep Guardiola to a three-year contract for the start of the 2016–17 season. Guardiola introduced in quite a few vast signings in the summer, which includes midfielders İlkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund and Nolito from Celta Vigo, winger Leroy Sané from Schalke 04, and defender John Stones from Everton. He also controversially changed long-serving City beginning goalkeeper Joe Hart with Claudio Bravo from his former membership Barcelona.

Pep is regarded one of the best managers of all time and holds the records for the most consecutive league games won in La Liga, the Bundesliga and the Premier League.
He left the Bavarians for Manchester City in 2016, and guided them to a Premier League title in his second year in charge. His first season used to be not all rosy. Guardiola finished the season trophy less – the first time this had ever happened in his managerial career. He was labelled "a fraud, a fraudiola", of the four cups on hand to City, this was termed a failure. However, he went on the next season to win the premier league with the team having scored the most premier league goals (106) in a season, breaking several domestic records as the team became the first to reap a 100 league points in a season. To date, he has won 4 Premier League titles, 4 EFL Cups, and the FA Cup, which include a home treble in the 2018–19 season. He also led them to their first ever UEFA Champions League Final in 2021.

Manchester city, Having gained EIGHT League titles, SIX FA Cups, EIGHT League Cups, SIX FA Community Shields and ONE European Cup Winners Cup, it is the fifth-most successful team in English football behind Liverpool, Manchester united, Arsenal and Chelsea

Manchester city are nevertheless the team to beat despite their woes in the UEFA champions league.
With Guardiola at the wheel, their best is yet to come.

hey @aywydc1 I see u have been inactive for awhile. I know it's hard at first but don't give up .
for the first 2-3 months all I did was comment and upvote on other posts to get some people to follow me. then once I had found about 20 friends / follows then that is when I started to post and doing that had helped a lot so when u return try this and see how it goes.
