Preview and Bet: Manchester City VS Fulham

in #sport6 years ago (edited)

In the final game of EFL Cup, Manchester City will host premier league rivals Fulham. This fixture was supposed to be played on Wednesday but because of the rescheduling of game between Spurs and City from Sunday to Monday, this game was shifted for Thursday. It means ManCity would play 4 games which includes clash with Spurs last Monday, with Fulham this today, Southampton on Sunday and Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday. For Fulham, they only have Huddersfield to play on Monday.

ManCity

This Monday, ManCity defeated Spurs to move to the top of the table. City have been a best team so far loosing only once this season which came against Lyon in Champions League. Since loosing to Lyon, they won 7 matches and drew against Liverpool. They will want to extend this run. Because of busy fixtures, we might see might see many change in City's squad. Kevin de Bruyne is most likely to start who was rested against Spurs. The other players to start should be Jesus, Sane, Otamendi, Foden, and Kompany. As usual, de Bruyne, Phil Foden and Jesus will be key player to win this one against Fulham.

Fulham

Fulham are struggling in relegation zone with just 5 points so far this season. Their last won came in Carabao Cup against Miwall. They lost 4 games after this in a row. Unlike many teams in second half of table, scoring goal is not problem for them. But the biggest problem is they are conceding too much of goals. In last 4 games, they conceded 15 goals nearly averaging 4 goals per match. They conceded 28 goals in the league, highest among all the teams and 5 more than another worse defense of Cardiff. If they can hold on their defense, they might have some chance against City. Like last time, we might see a rotated Fulham side in Carabao Cup.

Betting:

ManCity are certain to win this one and the odds for City's win is at 1.10 which is very very low. There is no point betting here. The odds for Fulham pulling upsets is at 29.00 while draw is at 11.00. Over 2.5 goals is high probability here as Fulham loves conceding goals but the odds are too low again. The odds for over 2.5 goals is at 1.28 which is again not worthy to bet. Thus, not keeping any bets for tonight.
