I have always been dreaming of having a kid that will play my most favorite sport of all time - Football/Soccer. Its a sport I am very passionate about that I was having a hard time playing it.
As a country whose very crazy with basketball, football is no place in the Philippines. Its a sport that most of the Filipinos know nothing. Most of the kids here already indulge themselves with basketball.
One of the things that makes football less popular in our country is the availability to play on a field. We can only count the number of turfs in our country but cannot even do with a basketball court. We were simply influenced by the Americans when we became a colony by them.
But as of now, the government is spending a lot on sports facilities mainly football fields. Individuals, corporations, and businessmen are also paving their way to connect the dots with football.
Seeing my kid to play my "The One that Got Away" sport will be a big achievement for me supporting his endeavor.
