Today 25th of March I have the opportunity to watch the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) which consists of 20 football club in Nigeria and the winner and the runner's up will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup among the others Africa Nation.
Today's match is between Kwara United against Kano Pillars at the Kwara State Stadium in Ilorin, a Northern part of Nigeria. The match started by 4 p.m but before then the spectator, match officials have all seated. The gate fee for regular is $0.35 (#100) and the VIP fee is $1.4 (#500), am chance to be among the VIPs which the area is well covered with good arrangement. Having this opportunity is because I am member of the Nigeria Referee Association.
The kick off started with the home team and when it 28th minute of the 1st half, a goal came in for Kano Pillars which was scored by the striker who was also the highest goal scorer in the league in person of Lokosa from an error conceded by Kwara United right fullback and the team was punished for that. Both team have series of chances to score and both fail to utilize the chance and the 1st half ended.
The 2nd half started after 15 minutes of break, when it 60 minutes Abdullah M. a fullback player for Kwara United injured himself and was substituted for Uchechukwu S. who scored after using 5 minutes of play on field which is 65 minutes of play and the spectators was so happy. When it 70 minutes Binuyo L. scored the winning goal for Kwara United and it makes it 2 goals to 1.
The Kwara United spectators were very happy because it was their first winning in 4 matches and it the first game for the new coach and everyone was really impressed with the team performance. Support the local league so that they also can be at the international level, you can support them by watching there matches live and they will use the token gotten from you to develop and maintain the team and the stadium. Am now urging you to support a local team apart from your foreign teams.
