LeBron Did Not Start Superteams

in #sports8 years ago (edited)

Draymond Green is a Master Troll.

Superteams have been around for a pretty long time.

LeBron started a superteam, he didn't invent the concept or idea. Draymond knows that.

Not all superteams that have been created have even won titles either, that doesn't mean they weren't successful they just couldn't get it done. '97 Rockets, '04 Lakers, '08 Celtics. And others. Come on.

This Warriors team, once they added Kevin Durant, perhaps became the best superteam in NBA history. A lot of people find it cowardly. Others just say it is haters being jealous. Perhaps there is jealousy but since when has there not been people and fans not jealous of championship teams? That point is irrelevant. That is an easy way to ignore any criticism. "They're just jealous, man."

The Warriors nearly won 2 titles in a row. They just won 73 games. They were probably going to The Finals again. To many people they were the favorites to win it all before they added KD. But they still did, they added the second best player in his prime to the team I just described. Some people just aren't that impressed by that. Weird watching the Warriors try to act tough like they got some crazy revenge. Totally different team when you add KD. That series was so close last year. Some people are just dissapointed we weren't getting an epic series like last year. When the Warriors act big or macho in any way about getting revenge, I feel awkward. If they won with the same team I would fully understand. But they didn't.

Draymond isn't even as nice as LeBron. I can't be the only one thinking these things.

LeBron joined a 47 win team 5 years after Wade's title. They added Bosh even then in my opinion that is a pretty lopsided difference. The Heat also had a tougher adjustment period with a lot of new players on their roster.

Every superteam had criticism though. Get over the hate Draymond. You got 2 rings be happy.

Isn't the point of every team to be a super team? Can't understand the criticism. And american sports are a lot fairer than european leagues when it comes to rosters.

The gsw are a super team and there's no shame in that.

Never said it was shameful. I'm saying Draymond should definitely not be saying "well they did it first"

because if he's trying to compare, it's really not close, in my opinion. KD joined a much better squad than LeBron did

Also the criticism comes from many people believing a champion should not leave for a team they nearly beat the year before. To many people it is cowardly to, as the second best player on earth, Join a team in the middle of a dynasty. The Warriors were favorites without him people forget. Some people want champions to beat the best competition. Not join it.

I find it funny that people say the NBA has no parity. The NHL has had less teams appear in the finals over the past 7 years than the NBA. The biggest problem is that the finals always seems to have the same players, just depending what teams they are on.

yeah the NBA is ran by a handful of talent per generation 3-5 players it's annoying at times.

I think I am misunderstanding you. Sorry you are saying the NHL has a depth problem or that they don't? I apologize I guess I am a bit slow. I thought the NHL had an 8 seed go to the Finals I found that very impressive. That would never happen in the NBA lol
