The NBA regular season is coming to a close tonight. The top teams of each conference are preparing for the NBA playoffs. The playoff seedings are nearly set after weeks of teams battling for playoff spots.

One Eastern Conference team fought hard to get the third seed of their conference. They won 16 straight games and even beat the Cleveland Cavaliers to get the spot. The team I am referring to is the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers finished their season earlier tonight. The Sixers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 130-95. The Sixers finished their season with style. Ben Simmons, a potential Rookie of the Year candidate, only played 22 minutes. He finished the game with 4 points and 6 rebounds. Justin Anderson was the 76ers' leading scorer with 25 points. Anderson averaged 5.7 points per game and 13.2 minutes per game. In this game, he played 31 minutes. Anderson had an opportunity to showcase his talent. Dario Saric was the second leading scorer with 24 points.

The Sixers, the third seed of the East, will likely face the Miami Heat. The Heat are a solid team, but the Sixers are capable of beating them. Although they are missing one of their key players, they can still win.

A few weeks ago,Joel Embiid suffered a left orbital fracture. It is unlikely that Embiid will play in the first game of the playoffs.

"I don't think I'm ready to play," Embiid said. "It still doesn't feel all the way right."

Joel Embiid is a key player for the 76ers. He is arguably the best center in the NBA, and the star player of the Sixers. His charisma alone makes him a star. While there is no time table for his return, the Sixers can advance to the second round of the playoffs without him.

Philadelphia is one of the best young teams of the NBA. Their success this season is an example of what a team can do when they rebuild. If a team is patient, and they draft the right pieces, they can become a threat. This is only the start for the Sixers. As they Sixers mantra/saying goes, "Trust the Process".
