After returning from exile, Steve Smith's run scored.

And this time he made a double century. He also led the team to Old Trafford in the mountains of scoring. Rain stopped Old Trafford for the first day just over 8 overs. Australia started the game on the second day with 5 for 5. At the end of the first day, unbeaten Steve Smith completed his eleventh century in the Ashes, ruling the English bowlers on the second day. Later, the number-one batsman got back to life after spinner Jack Leach's no-ball at the head of the 5-ball. However, he did not have to look back.

Despite a lengthy partnership with Travis Head and Matthew Wade, a six-run partnership with skipper Tim Paine in the sixth gave Australia the chance to climb the mountain. Paine (5) was completely out of the half.

Smith, however, could not be stopped. Cummins returned with a 5, but with Stark, he completed his personal double century in Test cricket.
The star batsman was locked in the hands of Joe Danley for the last 20 runs. But at that time, Ajira climbed the mountain. Smith's 26-ball artistic innings of 5 balls was followed by 20 boundaries and two over boundaries.

Then in the eighth wicket Stark-Lion's unbeaten partnership reached the team's run by 5 runs. Australia declared the first innings after losing five wickets at the doorstep of five hundred runs. Stark remained unbeaten on 5, while Lion was unbeaten on 25.

Meanwhile, in the end of the day, with a huge run of burden, they lost 5 wickets in England and made 26 runs. Rory Burns (5) and Craig Overton (5) are in the crease.
