Is Houston the right place for Carmelo?

We've all heard the trade rumors surrounding Carmelo Anthony. The most likely place for him to play next season is Houston. While he is past his prime, Carmelo could be a great addition to the Rockets.

Just look how good he looks in a Rockets jersey. He can be a great addition to this already offensive powerhouse. Playing with Paul and Harden should help him overcome his sub par numbers from the last couple seasons. Plus he should be excited about a chance to compete for a championship, a chance he hasn't had in many years.

There have been a lot of trades to talk about this offseason. What do you think about Carmelo possibly joining the Rockets?

Carmelo could play a huge role with the Rockets. I see him adding a lot of value coming off the bench.

I like the Rockets chances of making another deep playoffs run next year.

I think the question is whether he can accept probably the most reduced role of his career. If he can, I think things will work out well. If not, he probably play a game for the Rockets past the all star break.

As I see it, yes

I don't think Carmelo can match Ariza's defensive game, but Houston is still a better landing spot than Miami. Also, he's friends with Chris Paul and has a history with D'Antoni. These two factors along with Carmelo accepting that time is running out on his chances to compete for a ring, may bring out the best in him!
