Bayern beat Chelsea with an impressive first half display!

It seemed like no one told these two teams that this was a pre season friendly. Bayern, having not won any of their previous games looked like they were ready to clinch their first win on the pre season tour from the first minute.

The Brazilian right back Rafinha gave Bayern the lead in the 6th minute by unleashing a rocket into the back of the net.

The second goal came in just 12 minutes into the game when Ribery tried to take matters into his own hand by dancing down the penalty area before chipping a cross over to the far post, where Thomas Muller was easily able to side-foot a volleyed strike into the back of the net from close range.

Muller was again on the score sheet in the 27th minute with a thunderous strike from 25 yards out leaving Courtois with no chance as it flew into the top right-hand corner of the net.

At this point, the game looked well out of Chelsea's reach, however, some shouting from coach Conte helped Chelsea pull one back when Moses rifled a low cross into the middle of the penalty area. The ball fell perfectly for Alonso who shot past Starke and into the back of the net.

In the second half, Chelsea played much better than their first half display and caused some problems for the German giants. Bayern, however, had many chances as well which could have improved their score sheet.

It was in the 85th minute when Batshuayi pulled one back for Chelsea who side footed a corner ball to make the score sheet more respectable for Chelsea. It was the new boy Alvaro Morata who provided the assist.

This game showed the lack of depth that Chelsea currently have and the board would be looking to get those signings ordered by Conte as soon as possible. For Bayern, it was a confidence booster having lost all of their pre season friendlies.

The real winners, however, were the Asian spectators who got to see this high-quality football!!!

Next season for Chelsea will be harder than last because of participaion in Champions league.

Yes, sure it will be. They need reinforcements to compete with Europe's best if they want to go anywhere further than the quarterfinals! Exciting times ahead..
