When and where the International Champions Cup will be played: full calendar of the 'Summer Champions'

The International Champions Cup is an international football competition of clubs, although all their matches are friendly. This competition is held every year since 2009 in the United States and brings together most of the best football clubs in Europe.

This year, the International Champions League matches will start on Saturday, July 21 and end on Saturday, August 11.

  • Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid will be the Spanish representatives

Once the World Cup in Russia has come to an end, the big European clubs begin their preseason to get in shape at the start of the league championships. With this, the International Champions Cup brings together the best teams to face each other and make the friendlies more attractive. Real Madrid, Bayern, Juventus, Manchester City or PSG are some of the teams that cross each other in this 'Champions of summer'.

In total, the 18 most renowned clubs across the old continent through parties in the United States, Singapore and Europe. Four weeks of competition with six English teams (Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal), four Italians (Juventus, Inter Milan, Rome and Milan), three Spaniards (Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid) , two Germans (Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund), two French (PSG and Lyon) and one Portuguese (Benfica).

The tournament consists of three matches per team and one champion who will be the one with the most points (three per victory in the 90 minutes, two per victory in the penalties after 90 minutes, one per defeat in the penalties after 90 minutes and zero per defeat after 90 minutes). The tour will begin next Saturday July 21 in Chicago with a Manchester City - Borussia Dortmund and will finish on August 11 in the Metropolitan Wanda with Atlético and Inter beating in a match that could be played in the next European Cup.
