2017 DTM Zandvoort - Race 1

It is funny how the weekend changes as it progresses through the different stages.

After Free Pactice 1, did Audi and Mercedes dominate the top positions.

Free Practice 2 had a turn of events where Audi dominated with 5 drivers in the top 7, taking the top 3 positions. They looked fresh and ready for qualifying.

Qualifying came with its own twist. All the teams could get their first lap is, but went out too late for the second run as the heavens opened up and heavy rain drenched the circuit. Timo Glock set up his pole position time just before the rain, securing him the bonus 3 points.

This time BMW dominated, taking the first two rows, 1st to 4th and had 5 cars in the top 7, with Audi filling the rest.
