Sport is a multi-functional facet now, before or in the centuries ago, people see sport as means of exercising and fun only but now it's much more than that.
People choose sport as a career and that's why billions of dollars are investing into sports. Football, basketball, hockey, tennis, rugby, baseball and so on are various sports we have.

Some of the benefits of sport include :
(1)It's hepls to stay fit and healthy
(2)source of income -both players and owners
(3)fun -for the audience

I'm glad you really like sports @adsactly and you venture into it.
