Playing basketball seemed trivial to the Spurs after the death of Erin Popovich.
They competed as best they could but, again, it was not enough to beat Golden State.
Kevin Durant posted 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists and the Warriors beat San Antonio 110-97 to earn a 3-0 lead in the first round of the NBA playoffs against a team that began the day mourning death of his coach's wife.
"It was the perfect scenario for a trip," said Golden State power forward Draymond Green. "I'm not saying it because it's not sensitive at all to this situation. We take basketball seriously and we want to win, but when you start talking about life and death, a game does not matter. Even so we wanted to go out and try to win the game. "
The Warriors can solve the series if they prevail on Sunday as visitors in the fourth game.
"For me, personally, it's hard to think about that now because there are other things more important than basketball," said Spurs veteran Tony Parker.
San Antonio played a day after the death of the wife of coach Gregg Popovich, Erin, who fought a long battle against a disease not specified. Erin and Gregg Popovich were married four decades ago, and had two children and two grandchildren.

"We are all broken, hurt," Argentine Manu Ginobili said during morning training on Thursday. "We all know the kind of person that is Pop. Very few the kind of lady that was Erin. It is painful".
Ginobili did not score points and got just a couple of rebounds in 16 minutes. LaMarcus Aldridge led San Antonio with 18 points.
