I admit to being surprised to see an Indian team among the most followed teams. it is true that India has a population of over a billion and this justifies its popularity. Liverpool have an excellent team, after their victory in the Champions League they have increased their followers

You shouldn't be surprised. Cricket is the 3rd most watched sport on the planet behind only football and basketball and India with it's population of a billion people are crazy about the game. Mumbai Indians are like the Man Utd of The IPL T20 Franchise - back when Man Utd were good :-)

never watched cricket but it is not surprising about an india team to be there. maybe you are familiar with PewDiePie vs T-Series thing on youtube. T-series are and india music "label" and i think currently the most subscribed channel on youtube. thing is, they have just enormous population and it seems they are just getting into youtube.
