Now onto the News, Rumors, and Commentary…

“Ugghhhh Inning 10: I’m old and calling it a night No doubt this game is over in the 10th as the Mariners bring over their 6th run. Another 1-2-3 Dbacks frame, which is something I can do without… Still 0-1 going in to the 3rd Inning 3: Rummy Cube and manly banter! MadBum gives up a single and a walk in the 3rd, but despite being mostly meh so far he’s not allowed the bleeding to overcome the game. Still got a ways to go, and thankfully the steaks just got off the grill Inning 2: Cigars and steaks!!! MadBum redeems himself in the 2nd with a relatively chill inning as the Mariners also go 1-2-3. 1-5 Mariners Still 1-2-3 for the Dbacks in the 6th and I’m becoming very bullish about this game finishing before I’m even half way through my cigar.”

“The last time they made it was 2001 – Seattle outfielder Jarred Kelenic was aged two – when they went 116-46 and still didn’t make the World Series. Crawford – SS Nick Ahmed – SS Mitch Haniger – RF Ketel Marte – CF Ty France – 1B Carson Kelly – C Kyle Seager – 3B Christian Walker – 1B Abraham Toro – 2B Andrew Young – 2B Tom Murphy – C Josh Rojas – RF Jarred Kelenic – CF Drew Ellis – 3B Dylan Moore – LF Stuart Fairchild – LF Tyler Anderson – LHP M. With the Suns having ended their decade-long absence, in no uncertain fashion, there’s now only one team which is even longer than 10 years – the NBA’s Sacramento Kings have not made the post-season in 15 consecutive years. Right now, the Mariners own the longest playoff drought in any of the four main pro sports, at 19 years.”

“”I know he felt like he couldn’t get any feel for them. For whatever reason, the balls felt different to Bumgarner and he had a hard time getting a grip on them during what turned out to be a 6-5 loss to the Mariners in 10 innings. “I actually felt really good today physically, mentally. So I would probably agree with him and I think some other guys probably would, too, that maybe getting a grip on the ball wasn’t as easy as it might be some other times.” Bumgarner walked four over five innings in his last start, but that was more of an issue he said at the time of him doing a poor job.”
