Zinedine Zidane openly admitted that this summer Gareth Bale will not change club.
The future of the Welshman raised serious doubts for a long time. Real Madrid wanted to sell the player, counting on a large income to be able to cover expenses for an ambitious transfer campaign. The winger, however, rejected another option and a few days ago the Spanish media reported that Zinedine Zidane finally gave up and reconciled that the former Tottenham player would remain in the club.
What's more, Bale appeared in the first squad for the inauguration of the league in the clash with Celta Vigo, winning 3:1 by "the Royal's". At 1-0 for Madrid, Luka Modrić received a red card, but despite this the team managed to score another2 goals, which sealed the victory. After the match, Zidane made no secret of the fact that Gareth Bale, among others, did a lot to do it.
"- The work done by Vinícius Júnior and Gareth Bale was very good, later we had to change them because they gave so much that they were already tired. Isco and Lucas did a great job too.” - said coach "Los Blancos".
Journalists, however, inquired about the situation of the Welshman, which is why Zidane decided to cut off all speculation.
"- He's here with the whole group. I am happy with how he played. He stays with us. Vinicius and Gareth played great and did well on the defensive."
