Westbrook and Harden | Reunited in HOUSTON

in #sportstalk5 years ago (edited)

After how many seasons of not playing together, they are now reunited as Russell Westbrook was traded for Chris Paul, first round picks in 2024 & 2026, pick swaps in 2021 & 2025, as ESPN reported.

Both players played together in OKC for three consecutive seasons before Harden was traded to Houston. Russell Westbrook played for OKC for 11 seasons and Harden is currently on his 7th season with Houston. These guys both plays in Point Guard Position, and they are ridiculous in scoring, assists, and reboundings.

Threat or Not?

For me, they are not a threat since they play in both positions. There are some factors we consider them as a threat if one of them must adjust, i mean one must play PG and the other one play SG. We all know that these two are scoring machines and no one can ever stop them in scoring. Thinking Harden was a candidate for MVP last season and Westbrook averages 22.9 per game.

Adding them in best duos in the NBA right now? hmmm, I might consider that but they must still show us what they can do on the court. Some memes came out that if Houston Rockets is playing, two balls must on the court, one for James and one for Russ. Fans are really crazy, making stuffs that could be something funny yet pointing it out to be true.

Let's just wait for the next season to have an analytical ideas about how these two will play together.
