LOS ANGELES (AP) — Mason Toye scored two goals within four minutes of the first half while Minnesota United held on to hand Los Angeles FC, a 2-0 which becomes its first home loss of the season.

Toye scored when he took a ball on the edge at midfield, dribbled it to the middle and when he got near the top of the box, he dropped a pass back to Jan Gregus. Gregus then perfectly slotted the ball forward to Toye, who with his left foot, kicked it into the top far corner from a difficult angle just outside keeper box.

Toye got another goal when he gave a high, hard shot from well outside the box into a top corner. Minnesota lost, (2-0).

However, Minnesota coach Adrian Heath

earned his 50 MLS win because his team jumped from seventh to a three-way tie for fourth in the Western Conference.
