How does a horse get odds of 300/1?
Someone's not running it to its full potential to manipulate the odds.
Few years ago was 2 guys had a stable. Lost races for months. Then one day when there horses were 10/1-20/1 they came to England places bets on there horses took bookies for 2 million but bookies couldn't prove anything everyone knows what happened.
Its so rigged it's untrue.

I don't know about that story, because that's just terrible risk management by the bookies and they deserve to lose money.
The whole idea of the bookie business model is to get as close to a green book as possible, meaning they win no matter what the outcome of the actual race.
They'll sometimes do their own analysis and be overweight certain favourites, but if they didn't lay their risk off with someone else on those long shot runners, then that was their decision and they fucked themselves.
