Two of the most familiar faces settled the scores for Arsenal. But after the strike duo of the french man Alexandre Lacazette and the Gabonese international Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang secured a second win of the season, it was not except the performance of newly signed Dani Ceballos that had the home supporters licking their lips and thanking their stars for this precious gift.
The Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos received a standing ovation at hte time of substitution when when he was replaced by Lucas Torreira, the Argentine with seven minutes remaining after a brilliant first game display that hinted Arsenal could have got one of the bargains of the summer. Alongside with the experienced defender David Luiz - an £8m signing from Chelsea – Dani Ceballos was making his full debut against Burnley who have now lost 11 matches in a row against Arsenal over the decades. Arsenal is simply indomitable in the eyes of the Burnley players.

When in the end of first half ,Ashley Barnes equalised, it was tempting to think Arsenal’s old vulnerabilities at the back would undermine them yet they proved again but a dominant second-half display, which was capped by Aubameyang’s ninth goal in his last seven games, and it was the least that they deserved.
It was indeed a thrilling match.
