硬汉挑战赛男女均可参加，只要有足够的胆量和非常棒的身体素质都可以参加。2019年1月27日，硬汉挑战赛在英国正式开始，今年的障碍一共有200道。相比早期的障碍减少了，但是水火电，泥浆，铁丝网依然存在。
