Algeria are in the semi final of the Africa cup of nations. They won on penalties against Ivory coast.
It was a great match and many tipped Algeria to dominate the game. They did so and got their first goal in the first half from a Feghouli fine goal. They continue dominating and even got a penalty. Unfortunately, Baghdad Bounedjah penalty was lost as their striker blazed the ball over the bar.
That saw the Elephants of Ivory coast gain more motivation as they came out to look for the equaliser.
A fast counter from Zaha saw him play the ball to Kodija who dribbled past an Algeria player before slotting the ball past the hopeless goalkeeper. This set the tone for the rest of the match as the Elephants of Cote d'ivoire defended with the hope of penalty kick.
The match entered penalty kick and Wilfred Bony with Serey Die couldn't convert their chances seeing the Desert foxes of win on penalties.
The match had its bad moments when Zaha and Bensebaini squared together. The referee had to settle the fight by giving them a yellow card.
The game was an interesting one and Algeria will play Nigeria in the Afcon Semi-final.
